When it comes to landing shots, aiming is everything. Thus, optics are often the bleeding edge of your performance. There’s a dizzying array of optics to choose from out there, no shortage of good ones even. It’s all the more reason to carefully consider your shooting needs and how you wish to address them through your hardware, optics especially. Don’t skimp on them. Eotech long ago made its name in the optic world and for good reason – they nearly own the holographic optic game with the likes of the venerable EXPS3, are battle proven, and very effective. Furthermore, they recently developed a more powerful 5x magnifier – the G45. This is a huge force multiplier when paired with a solid optic. In this video, I review the specifications, features, and offer my thoughts on both as they run their trials on my latest carbine setup.

  1. After trying the Knights Armament 600m micro & HK's own 3mm BUIS, I found the Magpul MBUS Pro are one of the only systems thin enough to fit under the FTC mount.

Or you can put the BUIS in front of your optic if you truly need that option.

  2. You saving Mr. Turkey from the zombanimals reminded me – for some reason – of Macaulay Culkin and Ron Jeremy… 🤔

Great camera-work in the intro, too, and great video as usual. 😀

  3. Training in those boots must be hard mode, and it's also stylish badass mode!

I didn't realize how well synthwave goes with a gear review like this, but should totally have known. Anyway, I could never bring myself to pull the trigger (hurrhurr) on an optic that costs almost as much as the firearm, although it is a crucial part of the package and probably worth it.

  4. For the fact that this technology they are using is well over 20 years old, the fact that they are charging as much as they are still is ridiculous, it’s not like they have to still pay back the R&D, especially when there are much better options on the market, for less money, I was always hesitant about buying the primary arms optics I have three of them that’s how much I like them and probably will be buying the 3X micro optic for my newest AK, especially since they’re one of the few that does the BDC for AKs
