Not sure if you are familiar with Sprinco springs but prior to install you must grease or lubricate the spring..
I take apart the bcg and lube inside piece
Great video. I agree with all the lube points except for the holes in the BCG. It's going to blow gas thru those holes and basically you're just going to blow oil and gunk all over. I think its pointless. Let me know your thoughts.
Great video thank you
I can vouch against grease. I am a new ar15 owner. I used general purpose grease and my gun failed every shot at the range yesterday.
First time shooting my AR was sad and embarrassing
First of all I commend you for your safety checks demo. The AR should never be wet with lubrication. I can't tell you how many times I go to the range and a guy is firing an A4 and oil is spraying like a mist in the air. That is lubrication that is dangerous. The A4 was not designed to run wet! If excessive lubrication makes its way into the chamber, it can affect the brass sealing in the chamber and could blow your gun up. All you need is a little drop in the pivot sections youve shown. If you download the colt AR-15 manual, you will find it's recommendation for lubrication and they know that excessive lubrication attracts dust and dirt and will cause premature wear. Same with the mini-14. But I have lubed these guns as described and have put many thousands of rounds through each. I have never had to replace any of those parts. Very good video!
Great video. Thanks for the info!
Thanks fam
Very good, quick, to the point explanation. The paint was a great visual aid that really helped me understand. Thanks for the great video!
I just dunk my BCG in a cup of motor oil. Excessive and cheap.
Why would you put lube in the holes where gas comes out? That doesnβt make sense please explain
If you check the chamber 3 times you'll be 3 times safer lol
I used to grease the buffer spring to prevent the sproing noise, then I spent the money to get a braided spring that doesn't sproing naturally. Worth it to me.
Ar15 is not a sporting rifle, stop neutering it
Great video helped alot
I've been searching through videos for a few days on this topic. This is the last video I will watch. Thank you for how you explained everything. This is exactly what I needed
A new AR-15 owner here, thanks for the video, really interesting and eye opener! one of the best I've seen
Extraordinary! Outstanding! Well done! ππΌππΌππΌππΌ
Yep EWL is awesome, but itβs like water though. Thatβs why I choose EWL-30, it doesnβt bleed out over night.
I don't know if this guy knows what he's talking about (but I bet he does) – but I found this vid extremely helpful….
How often do I have to lube up the parts if I take it to the range every 2 months??
I'm an old Army guy with a NEW AR pistol. Love the refresher ! Have to get a needle oiler. Enjoyed the NO GREASE commentary, as I just watched another guy's YouTube video where he used grease π CLP for me until I run out……………….
Fuck this shit. I just tear my guns down as best I can Clean all the gunk off with rags and q tips. Then I take a big ole spray can of ballistol and give them a spray down. not dripping wet, but pretty much every internal surface is covered. I put it all back together and wrack the weapon a few dozen times to get everything sliding around nice and juicy. I then let it sit on a towel overnight to let any excessive juicery come out. In the morning I wipe all the externals off and its all good to go. Is it the best way? Meh prolly not. But it works.
Excellent video!
Thanks for the video. Very informative, very clear and thorough.
Best video for AR lubrication out there. Thank you ππΎ
I bought my first AR and ready to do my first lube&cleaning , Thanks for this video very clear and helful π
It's simple lube anything where metal rubs and creates friction and use TW25B Grease, used by all Navy seals and Special Forces for some reason and that's that it works … .
excellent presentation!Thank You
