  1. Correction I meant to say the Geissele Rail is 6 ft lbs not 50. My apologies, I was thinking of barrel torque for some reason. But even so 6 ft lbs is much higher than other handguards. Also something I forgot to mention, not all BCM barrels are CHF, so make sure you read the specs on whatever you're purchasing. They've also changed some of the specs on their lineup since I got mine back in 2019. So some of the rifles don't include the CHF barrels like they used to.

  2. Here is a brand to put on your radar. Triarc Systems. I love mine but I would like to see what you think about it. I have a BCM as well (and I love it) but I like the Triarc more and that is saying something.

  3. QD points are steel rather than the aluminum because aluminum qd points wear out quick. Braided springs makes is stronger so it doesn’t wear out as fast as normal buffer springs. It also removes the typical spring sound of an AR-15. The Geissele rail is heavier because it is more rigid for things like lasers holding zero. Upgrade the BCM bcg

  4. Great review and comparison, I liked how you got into some of the minutia. However the one thing that would really seal the deal in the decision making process would be a head to head shootout. How about some 100 yard groups? You don’t have to be joe marksman to make a comparison, the average enthusiast could still draw a conclusion from apples to apples shootout groups from a non professional. Or is there a reason you aren’t shooting groups? Whatever the case, Keep up the good work…..

  5. The flat wire spring is supposed to cause less "twang noise" that is known to come from the buffer tube, according to Geissele its less noisy than traditional buffer spring!

  6. Have you ever used sharps rifle co. bcg? They have a couple neat features on their bolts the lugs are tapered and it’s made of s2 tool steel. It’d be nice to see a review of it to see if it really is as good as they claim or whether I should’ve bought something else lol.

  7. The Geiselle Super Duty rifle is made for duty use. Duty use rifles don’t come with adjustable gas blocks and are usually come a little over gassed to increase reliability when the gun gets carbon build up and dirty. Adjustable gas blocks can cause malfunctions like double feeds or stove piping when the gun isn’t tuned properly to the ammo you are using.

  8. The Supwr 42 braided spring lasts longer before shrinking by like 15k rounds but it also eliminates the spring vibrations you get from mil spec springs put on in my build they are awesome

  9. Sir, there’s some info in here where you’re getting the fine details, not quite accurate. For instance nitriding is a metal surface treatment, not a coating, it alters the structure of the surface metal. 9310 can be superior to C158, it depends on how well the heat treatment went. (I also prefer C158 since there’s far less concern of heat treatment needing to be perfect to be equal or better than C158, manufacturers went to 9310 on budget BCG’s because it’s cheaper than C158)

  10. The BCM barrel that your link is directing us towards does not have a chf barrel. Still a great rifle though. I contacted BCM and they told me that it is not a cold hammer forged barrel.

  11. Nice video. Most of the time you just see the reviewer fanboy over the band and tell you "they are well made guns." It is refreshing having the reviewer going over each part's build quality, explaining what is important and explaining why. Seeing as the AR market is full options with a large price range it's awesome you are doing a series examining and comparing them. If you feel like it check out the POF Renegade +. It is a feature rich AR.

  12. Dude you have no idea how much this video helped me out. I’ve been researching my next AR for MONTHS before I spend my hard earned money. I was looking at the DDm4V9, LWRC IC DI, IWI Zion, Saint Edge, Stag Arms Tactical, Sons Of Liberty, Super Duty and BCM Recce 14.5. Besides the Zion the BCM has the best price point for a high quality rifle. I think you just sold me on the 14.5 Recce MCMR. Thanks for the detailed explanations of everything it actually really helped me. Love the channel

  13. A trick I do to line up the hanguard rail to the upper is to put an empty picatinny mount on halfway on the upper side half on the hand guard side then tighten up, you could of course eyeball it but this is what I do and it seems to be a decent means of making it come out right in my experience
