I have a red dot on my combat rifle and ive trained more this year than ever. Im seriously starting to reconsider keeping my optic on my rifle. Just going strictly to Iron Sights. I want to "keep it simple stupid". The benefits of the red dot dont justify having the extra weight, keeping batteries on hand, and not to mention if im getting shot at, i dont need to risk looking through the tube and possibly not seeing the dot when i absolutely have to see it.dont get me wrong, i think the optics have their place, but for me, its not on my rifle thats going to keep my alive. Great review.

The battery life on EOTech optics in general has been very disappointing.
Sounds like holosun is the better competitor
