Today, we take to the range, a neat not-so-little pistol in 9x19mm
Para/Luger/NATO. This is the ATI Milsport AR9. It is built in the USA, and is based on the Colt 9mm SMG, but has several enhancements. These include a billet lower purpose built for the 9mm round, a Keymod compatable handguard, and the ability to feed from Glock brand Glock magazines (including Magpul brand Glock pattern mags).
This is a simple, reliable, fun, and inexpensive 9mm AR15 pistol.

  1. I recently bought one and have questions about their buffer tube. However, ATI refuses to respond to my emails and all links to the MilSport AR9 pistol are 'dead'. There is currently no mention of it on their website.

  2. I use the same mag, but it gives me feeding problem. does anyone have an issue with feeding? I tried ETI mags as well and still stuck with the same problem…

  3. I am interested in purchasing this ATI AR9. I want to ask if this platform can be upgraded such as, trigger, barrel, bolt etc? or is there replacement parts available? also is there any easy way to modify the the bolt for last round hold open? Thanks.

  4. if your buddy is tired of not having the last round bolt hold open , he can buy the side charging upper with lrbho from joe bob outfitters and it will reliably , my build has the same type lower but I have $1750 invested , do to match grade internals by JP and it is very serious and very accurate 10.5in pistol , 8 shots in a 1in group at 50ft indoor range with troy micro sights w/ tritium…these lowers are awesome ,and the ATI build as a whole is affordable , I also have the phase 5 ext. bolt release , which is holding up just fine. total round count is around 800 rounds so far. the ar9 is such a cool concept . I recently subbed
