Today, we’re going to take a look at a light that does a lot of things right, but ends up feeling like a near miss, the Streamlight Wedge.

  1. I got mine for $73 plus $5 sales tax brand new on eBay.
I like this Wedge light a lot and I have plenty of other lights to choose from.
I’m planning to pair it with a MicroTech Ultratech automatic knife soon, which of course has a very similar form factor and overall footprint. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

  2. I really hope that they add a couple more settings (100 lumen mode and a lockout) because I LOVE this form factor. A lot of the lights that you recommend on this channel are just entirely too large in diameter for my preferred style of carry (left front pocket, same way that I carry my knife in the right front pocket).

  3. It's too big for its output. It's too long for a lot of pockets and the seams of mine don't line up very well. The interface sucks. It would be better if it was the size of a utx-85 or even a utx-70.

  4. I have this. I love it…but it needs a revision. A real lens and a lower light setting. The size/form factor is great and the switch is nice. Replaced the Baton 3 as my new EDC.

  5. The pocket clip is the entire value proposition on this thing. I've lost tons of flashlights that have none of the negatives you cite, but that have a horrible pocket clip so that it eventually falls out of my pocket. This carries like a pocket knife; you're not going to lose it.

  6. I like this light and carried one for awhile. Although the footprint is great and slim, the switching system is less than ideal. A tail switch would just be better for most situations

  7. First off, I don't understand how flashlight manufacturers are so far behind when it comes to pocketclips, this being and exception.
What turns me of about carrying a 18650 based light is that it is a bit thick so I'm glad that manufacturers are exploring other form factors. While I would like the lumens of a 18650 light I wind up carrying keychain sized lights because I don't like to overload my pockets.
I like the looks of this thing but probably wont buy it because a moonlight mode is way to useful with small sleeping children in my life right now. I would like an Olight S2R but with a good clip and a flatter profile.

  8. You should check out the Glowstone flashlight. Totally different than any other flashlight on the market, but extremely easy to carry in the pocket, fully waterproof, and charges on any wireless charger.

  9. I edc a Fenix PD36R. Great light, especially for outdoor use. However there are two notable downfalls that could be easily fixed on fenix's part. The USB-C port cover gets loose after using it a while. It's also not tail cap standable due to the button being taller than the bezels.

  10. I've had this for quite some time now, it's a good EDC user. It carries well in my left hand pockets, it's only too long for a few pairs of pants.
The best thing about it is really the simplicity of the UI, it's the one I hand to people who need a light. I don't have to explain how it works, the intuitive nature of the switch makes it easier to use.

  11. Was this really a 17 minute video about a flashlight with 95% of the content being you picking up the flashlight and putting down the flashlight?

Not even a shot of a dark room demonstrating the beam pattern and throw?

    SMH….

  12. That's a great light. Have one for work, now it just travels everywhere with me where previously I only kept a Keychain light with me.
I find I don't usually need to charge but once a month and use it for several minutes accross the property every day.
The light is to white to use on anything close.

  13. I agree with almost all the criticism but have had this light for about a year and really like it. The ease of use and the shape are really good. Rides really well in a back pocket by the wallet. I have had several regular round lights and the ones that are small enough to carry, are not bright enough. If it’s bright enough and has a replaceable battery, it’s too big for me to carry in the pocket comfortably and is better to throw in a pack. You don’t need really long run time on an edc light, it’s not meant for someone working a night shift. A battery indicator would be nice though.
