The plastic hinge of my Streamlight TLR1 flashlight snapped at some point with my last battery change. I went through the process of requesting a repair with Streamlight so we will see how this goes.

  1. You don't have to send it in for repair. The same thing happened to me. I called them. The lady said everything on the light is covered. They will send you a replacement part. They need to update their website, because their policy on the site is outdated.

  2. I had the same problem. The product is good but this problem is too big to ignore. In the case of an emergency the light coming out of battery like that is dangerous. It is a faulty design.

  3. Wow, I thought that all of these higher-end flashlights were made out of aluminum. Sucks either way & I hope they actually honor the "lifetime warranty".

  4. That’s a common hiccup with this light, my issued TLR 1 did the same thing; after 7 years of daily carry. Just go on Amazon and order replacement doors, I own 3 TLR -1 HLs and got replacement doors for each one
