So the BDC works but really doesn't work soo…. I love Vortex optics but I hate thier/any BDC reticle.
At what magnification do the hash marks represent your stated m o a ?
Yeah that was interesting although I just shoot my gun and my ammunition at many distances to figure out the B d.c. it doesn't match computer generated chart

@ Vortex Optics what ever happened to the dope disks that people could get from y’all’s LRBC and when is your LRBC going to be updated? I’ve seen videos stating a year or more ago it was supposed to be updated and it still isn’t? Love my binocs and my spotting scope but I’m not sold on the BDC scopes. 🤷🏻♂️ would be nice to have a dope disk for different loads.
I thought you had an app or place on your sight to put in barrel length round etc to tell you where to hold using the BDC reticle??
So what range should I sight in a 22 magnum ?
Edited to add, I should have just watched the video you linked where Ryan does a much better job than I did, explaining the same thing.
Always shoot to verify the hashmarks before relying on them in the field! You owe it to the game you're shooting to ensure a clean kill. Some chronographs might not be perfectly accurate and some bullet manufacturers can be optimistic or pessimistic about their BC.

How about a demonstration, on a follow up video, of finding those mystery, hash mark, distances. Either by using a ballistic calculator program, and on the range.
I think he failed to mention, some newer scopes, are coming caliber specific models, to help match a bullet weight & speed to the reticle of the scope. For example .223 or .308.
But the hash mark values are not perfected, like he said.
I love the fact that you've just gone out of your way to explaine how to use a BDC as an M~dot. Because we all know that ludite who will refuse to make the transition, even though this method is twice as complicated as just buying an M~dot in the first place. You have patience for all of your customers, no matter how stubborn. Mad respect for you folks.
