The Streamlight TLR7A is a powerful compact weapon mounted flashlight. Additionally Streamlight provides some customization by providing two different switch styles, allowing individual users some personalization. However, I found that I wanted a hybrid between the two styles and did some investigative dissection to provide you all with the solution.

  1. You can also change the top plastic insert to move the light further from the trigger and keep the high switches on. I use the universal 2 for my gun. Keeps high switches even with inside of the trigger guard and out of the way for trigger finger. Just make sure it works with your holster and doesn’t cause trigger to be exposed.

  2. All that was unnecessary. You just push one side in partially and do the same to the other. No need to remove the pin completely or the other parts. Swap switches and push the pin back in. This hybrid setup is perfect.
