Quick comparison of the Surefire X300 Ultra vs the Streamlight TLR1 HL, similar lumens, runtime and battery life but very different price points and controls. I prefer the controls on the Surefire but the Streamlight has a significantly better beam.

I love both lights and I was debating between the two for my G17 gen 5 and I ended up with the tlr 1 hl and that was simply because of the candela output was higher. And the rocker switch on the stream light being sensitive to me is a good thing because In a stressful situation itβs definitely easier to activate and also the stream light has strobe mode too which is cool and you can turn off if you wanted. Great review, I love both lights but overall the stream lights sitting on my G17 right now.
Surefire just look sexy on a pistol but streamlight is very good for the price
x300 Turbo!
Great video brotha. Check out the video Werkz put out βweapon light death matchβ streamlight dominates. π€π»
I had the streamlight and honestly for home defense (likely indoors) I felt like it was almost TOO bright.. the light reflecting off white walls was pretty strong. Was great outdoors though. I got a streamlight tlr-7 and it was better suited for my needs.
Interesting you use to work for Inforce, I just bought their WML for a Mossberg 590A1 and right out of the box it was dim the first couple times I turned it on .. then the third time I turned it on it was also dim until I rotated it 180 in my hand, then doing some web searches I see Iβm not the only one with sudden dimming issues, so here I am researching alternatives to Inforce .. so thanks for this vid π
I kind of like the spill of the Surefire but Streamlight is my jam……I cant afford Surefire as easy ..
Iβll tell ya which one is on my nightstand glock, and itβs not sure fire !! I have a hl and the special hl with the strobe . I love them lol
I think I saw someone mention it but Surefire came out with the Turbo line. Also, I didn't catch the 2nd/backup channel. Link or name anyone?
If I may add… I was always a fan of the A style Surefire with snap on/spring mount. However, I recently had an issued with the width fitment with my last Surefire300A purchase. It was fitting lose on certain guns from a width perspective which is not accounted for when changing out the plastic inserts. With the help of Surefire customer service, I was able to switch to 300uB model with side tightening screw. Now the light fits everything perfectly because the screw makes up for different width sizes of different pic rails. Apparently, not all are exactly to spec. That is my 2 cents!!!
Just in time looking for tac light for my staccato P. TLR Indeed.Thank You and Be Safe.
Just put the Streamlight TLR-1 HL on the Canik Mete SFx and very satisfied so for. Looks like you are feeling better. Glad you're doing better my friend.
Great. review/comparison. Keep up the good work

See you soon when the x300 turbo drops
Streamlight for me. I won't give a penny to Surefire. They give tens of thousands of dollars to the Democratic party every year.
Owning both, they're both great options. I use the TLR1 HL more than my X300 but no particular reason. One can save a few $ going with Streamlight and owning a light that serves as well as the x300.
π as always.
Great comparison man! I agree, both are great options depending on what the user preferences are.
Streamlight TRL-HL is an excellent light for the price. The issue with any pistol light is holster options, there Surefire easily wins out. However, Streamlight is gaining ground
