In this video, I show you guys how to change an endplate on an AR-15. A reminder that I don’t know if I mentioned it enough in the video, you should always make sure to stake your castle nut.

I know I’m a little late to the game but Roger Wang has a really good video on how to stake a castle nut. If you watch his video and still have questions I can help out!
Funny you should mention staking. I was just looking for my center punch. To no avail…
Thanks, I've always wondered how it comes apart. Good video I'm new so it was informative except taking the stock off. What stock is that btw? I like that butt pad.
Great job very well explained
What is your pistol grip you’re running?
So it's not absolutely necessary to remove stock?
Thank you man, good video for a pretty simple swap out. I dont know why the ARs dont just come with the QD end plate
"I highly recommend you stake the castle nut"…."but I don't know how to do that". Then why would you recommend that?
Ggggah! as in buffer Springgggah or one point Slinggggah.
Great job on the take down and installation of the end plate. I have 4 AR's that I will be replacing endplates on today. Thank you again.
what do you mean by staking your castle nut?
How far to screw in the stock tube? Until it stops or is there a set depth?
Great video thanks for the help
I’m willing to bet you scuffed your left hand on the top rail unscrewing the delta ring, didn’t you?
I only say this because I just did the same thing today 🤫
to stake the castle nut, you use a punch and hammer to push some metal from the endplate into the designated notch on the castlenut.
What is the tool you used to tighten the castle nut?
Tip for depressing the buffer spring retaining pin. Push the spring back with your thumb and use the tip of a bullet to push it down. Trust me, easier and less painful than pushing it down with your finger or nail.
Thanks chief! I built my ar a while ago, so I forgot about that spring beneath the end plate. Would’ve lost that without the reminder lol
Where did you get your stock from?
Is that buttplate Rubber? Will it work with CTR Stock?
My AR has the same end plate. Idk why they don't just put the qd end plate on all. Cool vid.
Any reason why you need to take the stock off?
