  1. It looks like my Atlas R-one nut is able to screwed down onto the upper by hand. I’m not sure if there’s gonna be enough thread left for torquing to 35-45 lbs ft?

  2. The part you left out is how do you tighten or what is the purpose of the little Allen head set screw that locks the wedge in place as it has teeth on it for that reasoning and a Allen screw to insure it doesn't turn loose, Just throw this Allen set screw away???
The correct term is the wedge nut lock (The purpose of the set screw is to keep wedge nuts and screw from backing off), A Coworker explained it in much better detail and covered the item I was inquiring about

  3. Just dry fitting my barrel nut, I notice that my gas tube clears the nut even without one of the notches being top dead center. Is this something anyone else has noticed with theirs?

  4. Is it OK to just butt the gas block onto the barrel shoulder like what you did? My experience with Aero gas block and Aero barrel is that the gas port has a distance of 0.295 from the shoulder doesn’t just get centered in the block when butted to the barrel shoulder. If so, what is usually an acceptable deviation? Thx

  5. "Skipped" showing an important step, tighten and loosen the barrel nut 3 times to season the aluminum threads so they don't come loose down the road and give you a more accurate torque value.

  6. Fantastic information ! The only thing I do different that you didn't show is I dimple my barrel using a dimpling jig for precise alignment of the gas block over the gas port. And for me when I torque the gas block set screws I use a touch of red Loctite and torque to 35 inch pounds.
