  1. This is an excellent video Ray! I was a unit armorer my first 3 yrs in the Infantry and I loved showing all of the guys in my unit how to maintain everything from the M2 heavy barrel machine gun to the M1911A1 pistol. The only time the fellas in my unit didn’t like me was when I inspected their weapons on return from the range or training exercises and sent them back to clean it better. It was so awesome to go out and have everyone shoot good and not have major issues with their weapon. If they did have malfunctions I usually had it remedied right away or fixed it when we got back in garrison. So I really liked your video and your explanation for the reasons of why it is important to do the things involved to maintain your weapon properly.

  2. I lube my bolt the exact opposite from you. I don’t put anything on the rings but slop you’re the stem and lugs, iv never seen much of a point in putting oil in the rings when it gets blown out and burned off in 5 rounds

  3. Holy cow! Shout out to your cameraman. I thought this was tripod mounted or steady-cammed until I saw your buddy holding the cellphone in the reflection. Now THAT is a good example of natural point of aim!

  4. Good info..Just purchased my first AR and was really puzzled on how to clean it.Now I see your video and see that I have to purchase another cleaning kit..All good..Thanks for shooting this video 👍🏾

  5. Greetings, this is the best AR cleaning video! Thank you for taking your time and showing us your way on cleaning your own AR. It has been a very educated video on disassembly and assembly the internal parts before and after cleaning. Thank you very much!

  6. Pretty good… But, I would use the SOTAR method for lubing the BCG. Dunk that sh** in gun oil and have it completely soaked. There is zero reason to leave a BCG dry like that…
