I share what the new best light set up is for M&P Shield & Shield Plus models, Streamlight‘s TLR7-A! I discuss some of the advantages this light has over the Olight PL Mini 2, as well as share a holster (Ares from Triad Holsters) that accommodates this newer light set up.
Much like the PL Mini 2 set up, the TLR7-A requires the Recover Tactical Rail Adapter (SHR9) to give the Shield picatinny rails to accommodate these superior weapon lights.
I also do a quick review of a KORE gun belt that Triad Holsters is also selling, which is a perfect compliment to the great Holsters that Triad makes.

How long did your holster take to get? Just checked out triad holsters on reddit and it got me worried. I'm okay with 2 months. Not quite okay with waiting 4 months and having triad cancel my order if I ask about a status. Thanks again!
Any retention holsters for the tlr7 you know of ?
Ugh. Strobe. Until then, I was interested. Strobe is a terrible idea for a weapon light.

Went ahead and ordered a holster this morning. Triad holsters should get on instagram to show off some of their work. If it weren't for you and this video, I may have never found them.
torn between a shield plus and a sig p365 currently. going to head to my lgs and rent and make a decision.
Is that the same key for the tlr7? Or is that the key for the tlr7 sub?

Are you paid by Streamlight? This seems more like a commercial than an honest review. The O-light can be charged with a phone charging pack. It’s a USB connection.

Has anyone looked at the TRL-7 Sub for the M& P Shield Plus? I just ordered my M&P and am trying to decide which option. Currently have the TRL-7A setup on my Glock 23 and really like the setup.

Tlr7 hangs off barrel too much for ccw. I got a shield plus. Def got o light mini cuz your last video though!
Good comprehensive review. I especially like the strobe and they are extremely debilitating in low light. Made sure to have a strobe every time I went down range. Got a Shield for my wife may have to get this light for her.
Great video! Nice setup! I love the Streamlight series of WMLs. Can't stand rechargeable WMLs. And the KORE belt is a game changer. it's my favorite. I have the EDC dress belt, and the range belt. Love them both! Best B-Day / Christmas gift you can get a guy. Kinda pricey for a gift, but good for a family member or a good friend.
