Streamlight TLR-7 vs SureFire XSC For the Glock 43X / Glock 48 MOS

Checking out the Streetlight TLR-7 weapon light for the Glock 43X MOS and comparing it to the SureFire XSC. The Streetlight TLR-7 really “outshines” the SureFire XSC in our opinion. It’s 500 lumens instead of Surefire’s 350 Lumens. The battery life is 1.5 hours instead of 30 minutes. That’s a big difference! Also, the cost is a HUGE difference. The cost of the Streamlight is about $160 vs the SureFire XSC is $325! That’s a HUGE difference in price. The SureFire XSC comes with a proprietary rechargeable battery. The Streamlight TLR-7 takes a standard CR123A battery.

It became obvious as we were doing the unboxing and doing the comparison that the Streamlight TLR-7 was a much better weapon light for our purposes. The problem now is finding a holster that will work.

  1. I might be looking in all the wrong places, but it seems like a lot more companies build holsters for the TLR-7 sub than the xsc. Normally I don’t look past surefire but the holster selection led me to look for reviews on the TLR. Thanks for the great informative video, solid content without extra fluff.

  2. Ah, on the last video regarding this I was confusing the TlR-7 gen 1 and the TLR-7a ! Apparently the difference is just the dimensions, as the tlr7a is slightly shorter but rounder. Same great actuation and specs it seems
