450 Bushmaster – First shots and 100 Yard Sight In

What did u use to laser/barrel sight it in prior to shooting

cmon you gotta go 18" barrel at least with 450. your easily losing 100-200 fps. great vid none the less.

I have a bush. 450 AR style and there's barley more recoil than a 556 very happy with this rifle for only 1k$ sturdy nice and steady.

I put an aftermarket butt pad on my 450BM AR rifle and it helps. It puts about an inch of soft rubber between you and the rifle. I shot a whole box of those 250gr FTX without an issue.

I love my 450 bushmaster AR. I only have big bore rifles.

Not sure if its worth the drive time for you, but here in ohio I just bought 2 boxes of hornady custom 450bm for $36.99 each today. As far as Im aware custom and black box are the same bullet
When I took my 450bm ar out to the range my shoulder took a beating also, kicks more then my 300 win mag.

So glad I bought a bunch when they were cheap also reload them with 225 grain ftx

Looked more like a 6.5 grendel mag than a big bore follower mag. Need that single stack follower.

Ruger American 450BM, I got it for a Whitetail hunt in Michigan, dumped a nice 3×3 (western count ) the locals called it 9 point, felt so good about it, I took it back home to Colorado Elk hunting 250gn FTX Did a awesome job on a nice bull, it is reliable to 300yds. Its a Sweetheart.!!

I was looking at a .450 bushmaster AR from Bear Creek Arsenal. I was like yea. I want it. Then I looked up ammo and it was $2.50 and up. I went nahhhh I’ll grab that 7.62×39 sounds more fun. Lol Get a ton more trigger time. And it’s a thumper

I hunted last year with a 450bm ar pistol. I love the knock down inside 100 yards.

I had to sight in my 12 gauge yesterday…3 inch 1 1/4 oz sabot slugs….my right shoulder is purplish and other colors today….and I gotta say doesnt feel so great. For that gun…i would just shorten the length and put a limb saver on it. My shotgun has a solid stock and is to long of pull for me to pad it.

My granddaughter left her 450 Bushmaster and her 50 Beowulf with me while in Spain. Ammo is at a premium around here and no really rare calibers are non existence. Thanks for the info on the 450 Bushmaster.

Is the 450 bushmaster hard on AR15 lowers being it has a lot of kick.

That's a pretty damn good Drew but a hundred yards for that big of a projectile usually you have a lot of drop I don't normally hit in the exact same place like that that's a pretty accurate rifle most roads are Hornady ammo

I hunt with the .450BM I took 6 deer shots placed in vitals. The deer didn’t know what hit’em! One shot and be kill.

I use my AR 450 bushmaster for moose and black bear up here in Alaska. In the dense forests most of my shots are around 50 yards. Absolutely love this round.

I also had to file the front of the mag and make like a half moon shape for it to feed well

Shot a nice 8 point with my 450 bushmaster didn’t go no where

You need to fire up that reloading bench for that caliber 😆.
Think I would be finding me a 350 Legend, heck can still find ammo for that at reasonable enough prices on the shelf heh.
How is the recoil compared to say a 44 mag or 45-70?

I live in MI and Ruger American 450 bushmaster is my favorite rifle to hunt with. Straight wall cartridge only where I live. 🦌🦌🦌🎯🎯🎯

Use a few layers of bubble wrap as a shoulder pad. It will help with the recoil and transmitting your heart beat to the gun.
