This is a short video on how to install a mag release on an AR-15. I’m using a Palmetto State Armory lower and lpk.

FYI , If you have an extended mag button with no hole all the way through to see if the threads are flush, look inside the magwell and you will see the mag release lever flush to very very slightly sticking up against the magwell surface on both sides of the rectangular protrusion in the center of the lever that holds the notch in an AR Mag.

  2. SHIT!!!!!!! I did my bolt catch first and that was a bitch I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with it n e time soon now it seems I'm gonna have to remove it to do mag release!?! someone please tell me there's a trick that will avoid disassembly of bolt catch?

  3. You want the screw head to be flush with the button hole….and easier way to do this would to have inserted the erasure part of a pencil on the button and pushed it all the way in so you get all the clearance you need to spin the catch until you get it screwed in the correct amount

  4. What does it mean if my nag release button doesnt push in? The oval plastic part doesnt push in i habe to stick an allen wrench ot screw drivier into the whole to release the mag, is that an easy fix?
