First ak not ar
Short stubby BCM vertical = perfect
How things have changed since I built my AR-15. Admittedly, I prefer the carry handle on mine, although I do have a flat top upper built up, I just have a royal issue with the flip up back up sights. My original upper (purchased before there really was a such thing as a flat top rail), I installed tritium sights on, and I am not discovering, the tritium vials are pretty much DOA, so, I'll be replacing them when I can.
My rifle has the original Tango Down Vertical Foregrip on it, an Aimpoint mounted forward of the carry handle, and the first VLTOR Mod Stock. The Sling was custom-built by me. I call it a 1-2-3 sling, because functionally, it was designed for 2-point and 3-point, but then I added a buckle to it that when you unclasp it, it functionally become a single point sling.
I grab hold of my rifle like a fighting stance, and with the sling on it, my arm loops around the sling in 3-point mode. I do not try to tuck my arms in, because if I do that, I will not get the additional stabilization from the sling, and my proficiency with the rifle drops somewhat. It makes my wrists go straight, which I would suggest is the entire reason the pistol grip and vertical foregrip was designed in the first place.
You mention that when you grab hold of your rifle to swing it… my first criticism of that is, "Why are you using your arms to do what your legs and your back should be doing?" I was trained by my dad, who was Vietnam Era Special Forces when he was in the service, how to move, how to adjust, and how to not have the rifle fight you in order to get on target quickly. Using your hands to move your rifle is something you do for fine manipulations, and if you're doing much more, you're losing out on the functionality of the rest of your body, which all should have a vested interest in you not getting killed.
Broom handle is great for fatigue which is why so many grunts used them. 18 hours on the gun burns you regardless of strength.
I’ve become partial to the Fab Defense angled grip with thumb hook. I allows me to keep a solid but fluid grip. Great assessment of the usual options!!!
What are you using to mount the scope on your PTR 91?
Which Magpul hand guard is on that AR-15?
Running the index finger of the support hand on the first tab of an AFG is another method I find quite comfortable while adding more rearward pull to the shoulder
I like the Hera CQR foregrip.
You really broke down the benefits of each style of grip and it's clear that I need all three. Thanks!
If you need to punch someone with the gun, the broom handle hold is going to be better to hold onto it with.
Bottom line, it all comes down to personal preference. What works for me may or may not work for someone else. I tried four different styles before I found the one that worked best for my needs.
no grip and c clamp
Daniels Defense stub grip
Handstops on all my AR's.
What type of AK is that ?
Who won the current giveaway??
Hello, i need standard picatini adapter for M4 foregrip handgrip. i am from Mexico?
This guy over here, that guy over there
Great info
Didn't mention the wasp or venom best of both worlds
I broke my left arm in 3 places when I was a kid and I can no longer rotate to hold the bottom of any rifle but with a fore grip I’m able to grip the rifle and actually hold it. On my hunting rifles I just set the gun on top of my hand and I use to get hit in the eye with the scope a lot
I love that PTR 91, you mentioned Mid-West industries for the front rail, what buttstock are you using and did you need an adapter to put it one?
Awesome video and waiiiiiiit!! How do I enter the contest to win a rifle like that?!
Still doing that giveaway!? 😩😩😩 how to I sign up !!?
No hera cqr foregrip?
Don't understand half gripping a vertical and using it like a handstop, I prefer to just go ahead and run an AFG better fore end control
how about bullpups
Off topic; how do you like that MSR Red Dot on the saint?
awesome channel but your into music is too loud. its way louder than the volume levels in the rest of the vid.
Vertical grips allways felt awkward to me. I prefer angled grips, especially on heavy rifles, because the more natural hand position let me hold up my rifle longer and stay precise longer.
For years I used a vertical grip…not so much anymore. I just choke up on the mag well and call it a day…
Any opinion on the Leapers UTG Pro Ultra Slim Angled Foregrip? It seems to have some good reviews and I like the way it looks but, obviously looks aren't the most important thing. Also, what about the Strike Industries LINK Curved Foregrip?
UTG handstop on my Angstadt UDP-9 with 4.5 inch barrel and maxim brace
Drink some water for god sakes.
INTERESTING PIECE. ARE OU FAMILIAR WITH "THE RYKER GRIP™"
I have a scoped Ar-10 with a canted red dot. My bipod is the foregrip/handstop.
Where did you get that handguard for your under folder AK ?
Take a shot every time he says grip
I really like the zero bravo reversible hand stop
Whichever one fits your grip style best and doesn’t come off is the best. Different strokes for different folks
vertical on my standard or longer barrel rifles
angle foregrip or handstop on AR pistols /sbr
Watch "Dude you have to much crap on your AR"
When I carry My rifle with a pack, it jams into My shoulder. My hand guard is comfortable to handle.
I prefer the Arisaka finger stop, but all are great choices.
Where did you get the American flag FDE panel on your hand guard?
how far forward is too far for the grip placement? I have a 12ga semi auto, and only have 1 piece of rail i can mount the foregrip to and its pretty far forward closer to where the the muzzle starts. thanks
