  1. Is it possible that CMMG is trying to give us a fix for now to keep them reliably functioning and they might work on a larger capacity fix later or are currently ? I have a lot of confidence that CMMG will try their hardest to bring people what they want. And if it's not possible, I don't think that they're going to dump an inferior product on us just because WE want it and WE want it to work. I think it is very commendable that a company would make an announcement like this and decide to put proper treatment of customers over profit. 👍 If a 40 rounder or more is meant to be, then it is going to get to us. If it's just not going to work, then it's not worth building.
Some people have said why turn my 40 rounder in if I can't get a 40 rounder back?. If it still functions OK for you then I can understand that , but you might want to consider keeping that as a practice or range magazine if you do keep it. A possibly failing magazine is nothing to bet your life on if that's what you use this firearm for. And just because it works today does not mean it will work tomorrow. Magazines can/will wear with use, although barely with modern construction. They don't stay in 100% condition forever for many.

    Thanks CMMG!!

  2. This is what I'm talking about! I don't own any CMMG stuff. But I've been lusting for a Banshee in .45 ACP.

My next build was going to be an AR-10. I think now I will just save the cash and wait till I can afford the Banshee. It's things like this that show you guys are a stand-up group of folks. 👏👏👏👏💪💪💪

  3. I own two of the conversions. While I have not had problems with the magazines I have used so far, this leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth towards CMMG. One of the best features of this conversion, which is the better part of a PS-90's price during normal times is that that the magazine capacity is 40 rounds. Now you're cutting that to 32. Why should I buy this over a common 5.56 upper that has cheaper, more powerful ammo as well as cheaper magazines? I think I'll keep my 40s since you're not offering any incentive to turn them in, except for the chance to trade for the lower cap mags which may or may not work and may or may not be available. Buyer beware.

  4. Hi Mike. CMMG is a great company to do this. Your customer service is the best I've ever seen in this industry (probably why I'm a frequent customer). Question: I own 12 or 13 of these mags. I have three of your 5.7 pistols. Five or six mags have been replaced by you over the past couple of years with the standard 40 round mags which seem to work well now. Are you saying that I should send all 12 or 13 mags in for replacements?

  5. Great to see that you are doing the right thing. While you are at it, please…please…please work with MEAN to do a 40 round insert for the 9mm or, perhaps create one. Looks like you can get it done with both this and the 4.6!

  6. I own some CMMG products which I love, I don’t have the 5.7 conversion yet but really awesome to see such a great company that produces great quality products, listens to their customers, and fixes an issue with no cost to the consumer. Way to go CMMG!!! Keep up the great work!

  7. I don't think that should be acceptable.
The whole purpose of buying a firearm like that with that particular ammunition is that it is high capacity.
A even trade for a 32 round capacity is not good enough.

If there is some law of physics that I am not aware of that made it impossible to manufacture a functional 40-round magazine then you should have offered 2 – 32 round magazines for the defective magazine.
Or at least 1 magazine and a voucher for a 40 round magazine in the future.

    This is not acceptable.
