  1. Nothing at all wrong with using a dedicated single point sling. I used one all throughout my training and nine months of fighting through Ramadi, Iraq. It’s totally usable if you know how to work it. Like Garand thumb mentioned, you’re not going to really be doing a lot of shoulder switching on the fly during fast moving CQB. But fast moving CQB or MOUT operations tend to be highly fast and dynamic shooting environments where you want the most flexibility from your sling as possible. It won’t hit you in the dick if you’re not a moron. If you’re right handed, put the shoulder strap onto your left shoulder. That way you can actually rotate the rifle around to your side or onto your back. Never a good reason to take your hands off your rifle in combat. With very little exception, you should have positive control over your weapon at all times. And yeah, it is annoying climbing ladders with it, climbing over low walls. But in those situations, you’re not going to be too worried about the inconveniences of your rifle. You’re only worried about getting from point A to point B in an expedient fashion.

I had to go hands-on one time my entire deployment, capturing a bad guy in his house, and my M16A4 gave me no issues using my one point sling.

The benefits? I could get myself into nearly any shooting position I needed to with maximum freedom and flexibility with an incoming enemy bullet’s notice.

  2. Thank you Flannel Guy for putting out useful intelligent information for us fuktards that aren’t cool enough or have the money to buy a bunch of products and try them out until we find one that’s durable and practical. We love your content! Thank you so much!

  3. Wish I knew about the Single point Dick Slam before I bought it , I saw a guy at the Gun Show with a very functional sling his Demonstration was great , it was a 1,2 and 3 point sling and he made it look magical . I can not remember the name of the company . it was $59.00 .

  4. I'm no tier0 operator like you but an option is to use an IWC tri-glide with your 2-point QD sling of choice. My preference is two you mentioned, VTAC or BFG Vickers. Have to check out a slingster soon.

  5. "Make sure it looks cool"? Now you tell me – here I am taking notes, making my mech infantry head hurt, and all I need to do is make one out of a studded vinyl Motörhead belt I got at Spencer's in 1989?

  6. Hello. Love the channel. I recommend you to everyone.
I have now thanks to this video a ferro concepts slingster. I love it. What can I cover the metal buckel with that takes up the slack. It scratches my rail?
    Anyone know hit me up?

  7. I know most people prefer the VTAC/BFG/etc but I really dig the Magpul MS4 QD. I like the convertible nature of it, and the newer ones have an improved adjustment slider that's very easy to quickly adjust but stays where you put it. In my experience at least.

  8. How about a single point sling for an AR SBR PDW with a 7 inch barrel and a total length ranging from 18 to 23 inches depending on how much the the stock is extended?
