I do some shooting with the Mission First Tactical Battlelink stock, MFT pistol grip, MFT MLOK drop in handguard, and the MFT 30 round AR-15 magazines and discuss what I think of each of them.

  1. FYI – the hole at the top of the stock isn't for "marked" buffer extension tubes. It's there to allow you to access the Allen screw that locks the lifting lever in place on the stock length adjustment lever. It's purely functional from an assembly/maintenance standpoint.

  2. As always, thanks for the great content and reviews mate. I prefer the Magpul SL Handguard personally (in terms of a drop-in, non-free-float type I think it's awesome and by far the best and best looking option out there), but the Minimalist stock is on all my AR rifles and I love the things. I also really like the ENgage V2 grip a LOT, I just wish the V2 had a storage compartment but I love the grip feel as much or maybe a bit more then the BCM and K2 which are my two favorite grips hands down. I've beat the snot out of the stocks, mortared them, lost my rifle off the back of a SxS doing 40-50mph over some "gravel" (aka baby head basalt boulders) and the stock hit first and nothing but a ding in the polymer. Again thanks for the work you do and for being such a good representative of the 2A community. ALways stoked to see a new vid come into my feed from you.

  3. I want to point out what I think is a very small fix to the MFT Minimalist stock. It's very difficult to adjust, because it has no relief vent for air in the stock. Air has nowhere to go when collapsing, and you're challenged with vacuum when extending it. If you drill holes to vent air towards the back of the stock, it's easier to adjust. I drilled 3 on each side where the little divots are just under the cheek weld towards the butt.

  4. I'm going to be completely honest. I bought this stock for my go to rifle for one reason and one reason alone. I think it looks awesome. But aside from that it seems pretty sturdy to me. The lockup on the buffer tube is rock solid. I'm also not a fan of the QD port being on the bottom but there really isn't anywhere else to put it. Don't matter to me anyway because I run a QD endplate.

  5. The MFT mags have been catching by eye for awhile. Tonight in Academy Sports they were on sale for 7.99!!!! Black & Tan. I bought two! I figure for that price how bad could they be!?! The last mags I took a chance on were OKay industries at a pawn shop. 23.XX out the door. Knock on wood they haven’t missed a beat.
