Daniel Defense Factory
I’ve been using Daniel Defense Rifles for over 15 years now, so it was crazy when I realized that I had never been to the factory since I’ve done factory tours at other companies in the industry.
They finally invited me out to their facility to not only see where their guns are built, but they also let me shoot a lot of them.
And I mean a lot of them.
This was probably the first time I got tired of shooting but in the best way possible.

Half-inch barrels with Black Hills 77GR. Won't buy anything else.
Don’t buy black rifle coffee ☕️. They are Collaborators
Well we know it’s not forged just by the casting branch .
That was cool. Thanks for sharing Colion.
I'm a Ruger guy because I'm a poor.
You know those black lines you seen on Geissele Mk16 hand rails that look like shit? Those are from issues in their die when they push the billet through to make a handguard extrusion like the ones DD showed you here. Then G sells them for full price without calling them blems… its a shitty thing to do and all the G fanbois take it lol.
Lol, being a hobby machinist im thinking of billions of questions i want to ask him about the machines, processes, operations, tooling, etc etc. Colion: "That's crazy…" hahahaha, loved it.
Awesome 👏🏾
I'm actually mind blown that they are using HAAS machines
I drove by this place a few years ago and asked my wife could we stop for a tour. She just rolled her eyes at me. 😂
👌😎
Wow, there must be well over 100 tires at that place!
Here's my Daniel Defense customer service story. Of course, you never want to have a customer service story, but it has a happy a ending. I brought my DD rifle in 2015, before they came standard with ambidextrous safeties. I went to install an ambidextrous safety, and had a terrible time removing the grip screw. I don't know if it has been locked-tited place, or if it was fused, but I pulverized the screw-head trying to remove it. I contacted Daniel Defense, who sent me a shipping label for free, and they told me to send in my aftermarket ambidextrous safety with the gun for them to install. When I got the rifle back they had replaced the screw, but the ambidextrous safety was not installed, nor was it in the return packaging. Again, I contacted Daniel Defense's customer service. They ordered me a brand new aftermarket part, and mailed it to my house, which I installed without issue.
Tell them to make more MK18 FSP rails!!!
Oh my God! Your black! I never noticed… 🤣🤣..
Should never be an issue…. I'm with MLK, what is your character is what matters👍👍🏻👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿. Thanks for this tour.. VERY impressive setup.
Good stuff. Let the people doing the work move the innovation forward.
Loved the vid, been waffling between brands & manufacturers for a mid weight (6.8 SPC). I think I may try these fine folk. Want to borrow after I receive it? Lol
@2:35, I wish I was black 😁- that recoil control was solid 🦾
Great video like always. Keep up the great job!!!
When i saw on the wall they had “proudly made in America”, for some reason I unwillingly, for some reason said out loud “fuck yeah”
I'm glad you were finally able to take a tour…
Interesting what Daniel Defense would allow you to show. Most of what we heard was barrels being cold hammer forged. And most of was said was about the Safety Department. All we saw was one extrusion from their hand guard line. Sorry you had to fly all the way out to the factory for just that. A trip on-line to their website has more than they allowed you to show. 😏
Anybody else scammed by the ‘let’s go Brandon shirt”?
Purchased over three weeks ago sent emails NO response NO shirt!
Sad, time to call my credit card company…
How nice of George Lucas to give Colion a factory tour.
Amazing products, production team. Cleanest factory ive seen. Some day hope to have Daniel defense weapon(s). #🇺🇸
these days Bear Creek uses the same milling machines, but still only cost a few hundred, with a less than 1 inch MOA and lifetime warranties.
Wait… your ass was in black creek, where I’m from, and I didn’t know??? Maaaan we could have went bowling or something
I knew you had to be joking. You are a awesome person for the 2 A community. You are very intelligent and very well spoken. I hope you continue to do what you do for a very long time.
Throughout my career I have visited hundreds of manufacturing facilities around the world. Without access to their processes, simply based on this video it appears that DD is without a doubt Best-in-Class! As a proud owner of three DD rifles, I also know that their Customer Service is an amazing team. Great video Colion, by the way, your “guns” 💪🏾 seems to be getting bigger. Keep it up.
It's awesome how much props Mr. Daniel gives his employees. He does not appear to be selfish and gives the credit where it's due.
A true leader.
Made in America!
