  1. Straight to the point. Confirmed that im naturally left handly manipulating right. Also my charging handle is on the opposite side with my upper… so its perfect. I dont have to orient the rifle sideways for that.

  2. What I don't like about this method is the inability to drop the mag while reaching for the replacement mag. It adds time to the magazine swap. Also, I noticed that the military uses 20 round mags and not 30 so it is easier to grab the bottom of the magazine and hit the magazine release with a 20 round mag. I find myself gripping the bottom of the mag with just my pinkie to enable me to reach the mag release. Just can't get a good grip on the magazine to pull it using the thumb to release the mag. As Left eye dominant and right handed, I have learned to shoot with my right eye albeit not as accurate as I could be I'm sure. I suck at clays. I shoot my pistol left handed but again, doing a mag swap sucks. Trying do decide which way to commit to and I don't like it.

  3. Thanks for the video. As somebody who is blind in my right eye i figured i would have to be a lefty rifle shooter and was thinking about looking at guns for left handed people.

  4. Thanks Larry, I was always worried about casing ejection into my face with my ar. Found out it is absolutely no problem. This is my first ar platform and I love it. Had no idea why I sucked with a rifle, but was dead on with a pistol. Yep, left eye dominant all the way. Now I'm accurate with both pistol and rifle. Thanks

  5. I am an ambidextrous shooter. I have not found a quick transition friendly sling set up for ambi shooting. At least an intuitive setup. Any of y’all have a recommendation?

  6. Welcome to my world, right handed, right eye vision impaired. Shoot pistol right handed, rifles left handed. I used to manipulate the safety and mag release that way but now have ambi controls on my AR. On the positive side if I had got conscripted my vision impairment would have kept me out front line infantry.

  7. I’m a lefty own several AR platforms and it’s no big deal I had no idea there was lefty based firearms. Righty’s would ask doesn’t it bother you and I’d never know how to respond I’d just be like an never thought of it

  8. What the Hell is "Tactical"
-What the hell do civilians – need some "tactical firearms ???

    -Is the US all right?

-like, for example, public mental health?

    ps.

    I'm not a hippie myself.

    – still, think a little;)

  9. Hi Larry, thanks for the video. Very enlightening to learn how you run an M4-pattern carbine as a lefty who is right-eye dominant. Very timely issue where I am concerned. I have been a right-handed shooter, pistol and rifle, my whole life w/o issue. No problems until hitting my fifties, when I switched to being left-eye dominant from being right-eye dominant. I see well-enough out of both eyes that I am fine running optics right-handed, but I won't lie to ya – using irons is a lot easier lefty than righty now. So, my left eye is not only dominant, but has better acuity for picking up iron sights. That's where I am at. I am starting to work on running a rifle left-handed as well as right-handed. Here's my question after that somewhat lengthy preamble: How should I split my training time up, vis-a-vis R v. L (strong v. weak)? What's your take on dry-fire/empty gun drills for learning off-side?

  10. Range instructors at the police academy about turned purple when they saw me shooting my long gun left handed with my pistol on my right hip……then they looked at the target and left me alone..
