Doesn’t want oil on thelocking lugs. Oil gets into the bore? Why is that a big deal?
If it is possible could you show a detailed cleaning of the AK platform too ? Thank you!
What happened to just using mineral oil? Lol
34:35 Bore Guide
I’ve watched this video 3 times just to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Just now noticed you didn’t use the chamber brush you showed us. I was expecting you to use it before you started using the patches. Did you just forget?
This is my rifle, this is my gun. This is for fighting, (crotch grab)this is for fun.
I found quart cans of LSA on Ebay.
Long time fan of your videos. Appreciate your historical knowledge and clear explanations.
Some feedback. Recently bought a Savage A10. Lubed it b4 going to the range. Followed your advice re very light oil on the bolt carrier. Careful to keep chamber dry and end of bolt dry. On 2 range trips, had trouble with: failure to extract and feeding. On second trip, the carrier became stuck. At hm, used gentle tapping of charging handle to free carrier. Then, used chamber brush to clean it well. Removed the carrier lube. Used thicker liquid Frog Lube on bolt and carrier. Left enough so it looked wet. On third range trip, the rifle worked perfectly. Apparently this A10 works best a little bit wet. Hickok45 and Sootch00 both suggest that a little wet might be better. My rifle seems to need more lube.
Thanks for this very good video. 😷😷🤔🤔
Jamomatic, LOL, alot of guys in the Army only made marksman in basic because they were to busy unjamming there rifles, LOL, I made sharpshooter with 1 jam but I felt sorry for the guys who were having trouble qualifying cus there rifles jammed up so much , I never liked the AR style rifles I know they can be built but I dont care and of course everyone sais its only the vietnam era m16s that jam and I am not convinced, My wife just had to have a AR 15 so I bought her the smith and wesson M and P 15 and it didnt change My mind about AR s in the least, LOL it was jamming out of the box, maybe the ammo was crap I dont know but My old remington 742 doesnt jam in 30 06 unless I seriously abuse it .
Good stuff! I went to Vietnam 1966, with a M14, artillery units didn't have M16s. Quoting G K Chesterton….pure gold! Thanks for your service, from one Vietnam Vet to another.
What is the twist rate on that AR-15?
I have purchased a Quart of LSA lubricant Batch 9/95. Would like to thin or cut the product to ease transferring to a smaller bottle. Any ideas?
RUN IT WET WET WET!!!!! It can go for thousands of rounds before cleaning.
Wow and I was always taught to operate a gun as wet and lubricated as possible (feel drops of lubricant/grease slinging off the bolt onto your arm from the bolt). That really shows me how easy it is to get caught up into lies.
I am so glad I found this channel; thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for your service to the country
What happens if you put the cam pin in the wrong side of the cam?
Nice video, personally I don’t see the need in cleaning an ar-15 to this extent. But to each their own!
I get it, nice vid but i'm not putting the barrel on a vice like that.
Found the same LSA on eBay, $18.
I’ll try it
This is why people should take the time to listen to the older generation because they have so much knowledge.
Does anyone know where you can find LSA OVER-THE-COUNTER ?
Thankyou for stating the bolt should run dry… people wet the ar15 platform wayyy too much…and if you're in a sandbox you are screwed.
I wonder when we will find a system better than direct impingement/gas piston/blowback or any other known types today?
GunBlue is the best… and a man of faith, which is the best part imho. If you don't have salvation through JESUS, you have wasted your life for nothing, very regrettably. Hope you find HIM.
Love your channel sir
On Amazon a big can of LSA is nearly $70 now, even though it says new production so it shouldn't be too rare. No idea why it's so expensive.
beautiful i just bought a mint bushmaster's a2 leo trade in mil leo lower and the guy never shot it i got made fun of because its a A2 style with no rails lights or sights i love it and wanted a classic i have flat tops with all the bells and whistles
Thanks great info
I couldn't help to notice you didn't oil the barrel after cleaning with solvent? Couldn't this potentially lead to rusting of the barrel?
