A detailed description on how to build a complete AR upper receiver using a VLTOR MUR, VLTOR low pro gas block, Daniel Defense 9inch M4 quadrail, YHM Phantom flash hider, and a 14.5″ White Oak Armament stainless steel match grade 1:7 twist barrel.

For future builds try using a scope mount or carry handle to line up the rail to the upper.
To make it look like a real gun.
Have no clue. This isn't an airsoft channel or video.
What does the gas block do on an airsoft gun?
LOL… Mericans have lots of shops for lots of guns.
all good brother good job with everything u did.. keep posting.
right, so i should have said less grease because i used quite a bit
well this video shows a lot of applied grease.. also theres are better lubricants to use instead of petroleum based lubricants like many greases use… so u wont have a fire.. but mainly don't use as much grease as was used here in this vid it was too much grease applied..
dont go cheap on your AR15/M/16 Armorers tool get what u need the first time so u don't have to shop twice, just buy the proper tool's with quality and then u will always have them in your Kit box for future build's or for friends to borrow or for customers that need ur expertise. quality is the best business. it sells itself
i used grease to install mine and it caught fire at the range. if you do a bit of rapid fire, dont use the grease
What brand is that upper receiver vise block? Where can I get one like that?
Most Armorer's wrenches have a square cutout for a torque wrench to attach.
thats a great idea because I was wondering how I was going to get them lined up. A rail riser huh? I'm going to try that thanks.
You shouldn't have any issues with headspacing using new parts from quality manufacturers. You can buy a headspace gauge for $30 from Brownells.
Do you worry about head spacing and how many AR variants have you done? Trying to find out if there are any issues with AR head spacing.
would you recomend using anti seize instead of grease?
Easy and cheap way to line the receiver and handguard rail up, just get a rail riser and overlap the two. If it can seat properly, it's lined up. That's the way I do it, anyway.
Where did you get the white plastic "dummy" lower receiver to mount your upper onto? Who makes it?
Thanks,
All in all, thisis a great video. One question, though … 70-80 ft. lbs. on the barrel nut? I've always heard 30-35. Could you tell me where you got this info from?
True, good thing it goes both ways. 😉
You put the rail on upside down.
I own one gun and have a workshop with a few specific tools for working on ARs. In the past I have built 7-8 different ARs and sold them, so a few have been through this "shop."
Sorry dude, I don't know anything about making bolt action rifles. Ask me something about a semiauto AR and I may be able to help you.
Hi!
i'm making my own bolt action rifle. I need some ideas.
Could you please help me?
Thanks!
@Chriznak Once the FH is perm attached you can no longer put a gas block or barrel nut on the barrel.
@h3avysoundz It came from White oak Armament that way, but yes it was bead blasted.
Did you have that barrel bead blasted?
@HeroHasGuns I understand this is 5 months old but if you haven't found the parts you can buy them individually from Del-Ton. They have EVERYTHING! Great products!
why would you be screwed if you did not get the gas block and barrel nut attached when the flash hider was attached?
Are you shop owner or you have 1 gun??
Look like you are build gun for living??kkk Make me curious if you own AR-15 you must have a "shop" like that just to use that gun??
– Back to 1999 Y2K I buy Bushmaster A2 and shoot and clean..that's all I knew!
@CaptainObvious1970 I do it that way now with a LaRue QD mount, it's a great trick. This vid is pretty old, haha. Older than the post date.
