  1. FYI I hate California. Because of the so-called featureless crap & we’re only able to carry 10 rounds in a standard 30 pound mag. FYI any AR mags we buy here, it is permanently set for 10 rounds. The ones I have, they superglued it. I researched & tried many ways to remove the glue & all it did was mess/warped the mag.

  2. Fugg no….
Half of yall cant shoot anyway..
Then ad the fact youd be shooting through your neighbors house.
Get ready for life long law suits…
Just get a .40 cal. With an extended mag…..

  3. AR15 is an awesome firearm. I own 3 each with a slightly different set up. The AR15 is NOT a good firearm for defense inside the home. A 5.56 round could pass through its target and continue on into another room where a loved one may be sleeping or hiding, or may go into a neighbor’s house. In my opinion, the best interior home defense firearm is a 20 ga pistol grip shotgun. Its not too “hot” that a female can’t handle it and it’s pretty much idiot proof. Point and shoot. It can also be loaded with different types of ammo, from less lethal to deer slugs. I have my Mossberg 500 20 ga set up with2 rounds of bird shot, 2 rounds of OO buck shot, and then 2 deer slugs. If the intruders dont run out at the sound of your racking the slide, then theyre sure to run out when hit with the first 2 shots. If not then theyre not running out at all.

  4. The AR-15 is one of the best rifles for home defense use compared to a tactical shotgun, the tactical shotgun has an extremely limited magazine tube of usually 7 or 8 rounds, compared to an AR-15 30 round magazine capacity. If you load your AR-15 with a very good quality soft point or hollow point bullets then the AR-15 really comes into it's own. I would recommend either Black hills 5.56mm ammo and also Hornady tactical application Police in 5.56mm preferably 75 grains jacket hollow point. That is what I would recommend.

  5. I watched a video where a guy went to the range and built two sets of interior walls and an exterior wall, and hollow points from pistols went through all three and had enough energy to kill people.

I bet anything fired out of an AR15 will go through the whole house and fly half a mile.

  6. This dude doesn't know what he is talking about. Firing an AR 15 type rifle in a home especially in an Urban City is disatrous, a 556 or 223 round will go through sheet rock like a hammer to tissue. At best, if you use a hollow point 556 or 223 round it might prevent over penetration but even thats not guaranteed. The noise and concussion blast will F you up in an emergency situation if you miss and reduce all your gross motor skills to a dude that just chugged 2Liter's of Vodka straight. A PCC Carbine , with a 9mm hollow point would be a good alternative in this scenario. If you want that carbine setup feel and comfort level. Also, of course a handgun would suffice with the same scenario hollow points. If you live in a rural area where you have a couple of acres to watch over, then for sure a Carbine would be a great setup.
