Thank you everyone who has watched this video. I have finally released a video where I ramble about LUBE! https://youtu.be/pPcmQfNWsok
WD is a solvent as long as you wipe it off before lubing you should be OK.
Just USE CLP. Feild strip the bolt and lube that baby up thats it. Dry fire the rifle before shooting then go have fun
Amen on the “automotive” gun oil. It has never dried up unlike “premium” gun oil. Mine is synthetic 20w-50 motorcycle oil w/ a tad bit on red lithium grease mixed together.

If you moved the WD-40 bottle, the focus would have been better. Nice video… Except that!
HA I mix my own also . 👍🏼
Thank You!
Motor oil does work as a lube. But it's bad for the skin causes cancer motor oil was not intended to be gun oil and have prolonged skin contact.
Dont use wd 40
Mil comm only for me
Great video.
I use mobile one synthetic
Looks pretty soaked to me
I'm outta here….smh wd40….
This guy sucks at focusing
Thank you. I got my first BCG today for my first build and I couldn’t simply tap my firing pin out or unlock my bolt with a flick of the wrist, but then I heard you say they’re stiff and need to be broken in. Glad nothing is wrong with mine!
I am a 100% Ballistol user, emulsify Ballistol with water for use on cleaning black powder and corrosive ammo residue, as a boring and cutting oil, in jet washers and ultra-sonic cleaners. The finish on your weapon will become smooth like an egg pan and will always feel like it's lubricated…… Ballistol is the shiat…..
im going to clean the BCG with windex and then grease it with high temperature butter. I found that this keeps parts lubricated much more, when its in room temperature its a paste then when its in use it becomes liquid and smells much better. Very easy to clean with dish soap
Remove spring and o ring from extractor.
Add BCM extractor spring and black plastic buffer. Cost a whopping $5. Great upgrade. Or reuse the little tiny black buffer the bolt came with. Whichever one looks better.
In my case, the Toolcraft buffer actually looked better than the included BCM buffer, so I retained that.
Using an O-ring with a high-quality extractor spring, can actually cause wear. Don't use that O-ring unless you really need it for something like full auto fire and are having extraction issues.
The BCM Chrome Silicon spring will last many times longer than piano wire spring.
I often remove the ejector spring and put in a Tubbs Chrome silicon spring as well.
Way to much lube for my taste. Dust magnet. Lol
