  1. I thought about a tool box as well, although I have Pelicans for my smaller pistols. Trouble is my AR pistol the handle does not come off so easily. If I sent the extra $3000 for the MP5 with the retractable handle, well…
Thing is I would like to lock it to keep it safe from the kids. I never leave it in the car anyway

  2. Well, people would probably break in anyway thinking they can get free tools. My biggest concern is anything that requires me to take time to put my AR together may be more time than I have. To go to the gun range I don't have a problem with a regular gun bag, but for a home defense or truck gun, I want something that will allow me to get to my AR and get to it in a fully deployable manner as quickly as possible.

  3. I like the descreet carry idea. Ive used a $25 tennis racket bag for years. It contains a 14.5 rifle with law folder and the spiritus bank robber rig with 3 mags and med.

  4. I just dont get the conversation around/value placed on hiding a firearm/weapon when it comes to a hard case. A hard case or any case being used for "concealment" should also maximize deployment of a firearm – if you have to disassemble the firearm it defeats the purpose. If the idea is to truly hide the weapon and/or just transport/store the weapon there are better, more simple, lower profile options. As an example soft padding in a simple lightweight duffel bag works just fine and is far lower profile than a hard case that "screams" something of value in it – and you can "carry it through Philadelphia" etc. lol without the added weight.

Also the type of case will not prevent things being taken from your vehicle if its broken into! Sort of an irrelevant conversation in my opinion.

I agree more with your dialogue around if you are selling your firearm and want to transport it to a buyer or gun show etc this is a great, inexpensive, and presentable way of doing it.

Additionally if the video was comparing the purchase and use of a Rigid or other inexpensive tool case specifically for storage/transport vs a high end Pelican case to save a lot of money and superior to a soft tactical bag that is more prone to the elements, that would be a better and more useful conversation/video.

    Appreciate your time and efforts!

  5. Comments lack some common sense, and I agree to never leave any firearm unattended. It's a great range trip/whatever case, its rugged, durable, waterproof, dust proof etc, I like the idea.

  6. I have a friend that is a travelling salesman and walks trough lobbies of nice hotels with a golf bag. He has enough stuff in it to hunker down or bug out for a week if needed. With the cover zipped on it no one looks at it twice.

  7. Ebay sells machined pre cut foam for the Rigid box and it makes outfitting it for your gun very easy and professional looking. I made one for my Sub2K truck gun and the fit is great.

  8. Not true…..a thief will look twice if he's wanting to steal tools. The thief doesn't care what's in the case he'll find that out 2 blocks down the street. If it's not what he wants (or thinks) it will end up in a dumpster or a pawn shop. Good day
