  1. THey added the screws because "tacticool" idiots were claiming the lights were moving or falling off. They added the thermal thing because, again, idiots were leaving the light on high and laying it on flammable stuff. The US has got to get rid of the tacticool "trainers", they are putting out morons.

  2. I just ordered the Baldr-S, I have owned several Olights for a couple of years now and have been extremely satisfied with performance and reliability and at the price it hard for me to personally justify paying the extra money for the Streamlight.

  3. I use the the baldr mini RL on my G2c honestly like u said the price is amazing especially if ur on a budget and I run a Valkyrie PL pro on my Glock it’s my go 2 being it’s 1300 lumen with a high low and stripe I have been running plight for a few years I almost have all their limited edition lights and a lot of their lights come with a 5 year warranty

  4. That power level stepdown is something that has bugged me about the Olight WML's (Weapon Mounted Lights). I get why they do it.. but then again, as HarleyWood said in this vid, if you are in any stressful situation and your light starts stepping down in power due to the temp protection.. That 'could' bring unwanted issues into the mix. None of my other WML's (Surefire, Streamlight, Modlite, etc..) have a Step-down temperature protection. Olight needs to get that part figured out for whatever WML's they plan to release in the future.

  5. For a everyday light the olight having the rechargeable battery is the way to go my opinion!! The rechargeable has more resistance coming from battery so that explains the extra heat from the olight.

  6. Great review. Just purchased the baldr S in gunmetal gray. Managed to get $10 off the flash sale price for being a new customer, don't think I can go wrong for $79.95.

  7. Isn't the reason that the Baldr is not as bright is that the light switches down to about 300 lumens after just 1 minute? Or was that comparison at full power? In any event 300 lumens is good enough for my use of it.

  8. Thanks for the review! I like it that you have no issues pointing out the things that you don’t like, just as much as the things you do. I also like that you explain WHY you like or dislike certain things.
