THey added the screws because "tacticool" idiots were claiming the lights were moving or falling off. They added the thermal thing because, again, idiots were leaving the light on high and laying it on flammable stuff. The US has got to get rid of the tacticool "trainers", they are putting out morons.
As soon as someone says they use Streamlight, I ask them where their flip phone is. I bet they still have a B&W TV too.
Nice comparison 💥
Just ordered the Baldr S as I want to judge for myself and I don’t see any other product that offers more for less.
Great review, thanks for the info. Love my Olights so this was definitely helpful
Awesome review 👍👍
My laser hasn't shifted over 100s of rounds with my Olight Baldr Pro, we'll see how the Baldr S performs when I get it.
766 views and only 89 thumbs up come on people lets get this man some thumbs up he deserves it!
I just ordered the Baldr-S, I have owned several Olights for a couple of years now and have been extremely satisfied with performance and reliability and at the price it hard for me to personally justify paying the extra money for the Streamlight.
I use the the baldr mini RL on my G2c honestly like u said the price is amazing especially if ur on a budget and I run a Valkyrie PL pro on my Glock it’s my go 2 being it’s 1300 lumen with a high low and stripe I have been running plight for a few years I almost have all their limited edition lights and a lot of their lights come with a 5 year warranty
Great review, thanks!
Thanks very helpful – I couldnt pass up the flash sale picked the gunmetal grey Baldr S for my G19. I cant see paying double for the streamlight TLR-8
Thanks. God bless and stay safe.
I like the comparison , but I will have to go with Olight it is the one I can afford and the quality is very good.
That power level stepdown is something that has bugged me about the Olight WML's (Weapon Mounted Lights). I get why they do it.. but then again, as HarleyWood said in this vid, if you are in any stressful situation and your light starts stepping down in power due to the temp protection.. That 'could' bring unwanted issues into the mix. None of my other WML's (Surefire, Streamlight, Modlite, etc..) have a Step-down temperature protection. Olight needs to get that part figured out for whatever WML's they plan to release in the future.
Very detailed review. You answered my question. Thank you.
I'm really happy that I found your channel awhile ago. I appreciate your reviews.
Great comparison video as always…keep up the good work brother!
Great job with the review.
I have a Baldor rl mini, it is a great light & lazer. If the Baldor S is as good you won't be disappointed.
Harleywood is doing some really fly reviews for a bald guy lol, your welcome harleywood lol!! Lord I apologize.
For a everyday light the olight having the rechargeable battery is the way to go my opinion!! The rechargeable has more resistance coming from battery so that explains the extra heat from the olight.
Another great review! Almost pulled the trigger on baldr s last week. Really good point about the thermal protection.
Great review. Just purchased the baldr S in gunmetal gray. Managed to get $10 off the flash sale price for being a new customer, don't think I can go wrong for $79.95.
The bad thing about the Olight Baldr mini is the lever. When shooting a compact depending on the gun it could hit your thumb as you shoot.
Isn't the reason that the Baldr is not as bright is that the light switches down to about 300 lumens after just 1 minute? Or was that comparison at full power? In any event 300 lumens is good enough for my use of it.
This review was OUTSTANDING!! Very close comparison. Streamlight was definitely brighter and I like the longer run time. But Olights mount, selection of modes, and price is definitely better! Both seem to be solid choices!!
Great look at both them lights bro, you made a lot of good points
Great job giving us a great review of both
Thanks.
Thanks for the review! I like it that you have no issues pointing out the things that you don’t like, just as much as the things you do. I also like that you explain WHY you like or dislike certain things.
Hey my barn is 14 feet too. Thanks for the vid
Great review!
