Unity Tactical developed their FAST Riser and FAST Micro Mount to help end users that use gas masks and/or night vision. After using it the FAST line for a while Brandon Bridge (ninebanger), Sam Pitchfork, and I all found benefit for all end users.

  1. Nothing new under the sun. People have been using this concept for years. Jason Falla from BW and founder of RB 1 came up with a mount with a similar height over bore over ten years ago that was produced by Knights. It was designed using the footprint of an Aimpoint Micro and it gives the user a strip of raised mil-standard rail for a Magnifier using the 1/3 co-witness mount eliminating the need for an additional mount for the magnifier. Back-up irons can also be deployed without removing the mount. I personally like the FAST mounts better, but they are not the original creators of this idea. They just have much better marketing.

  2. Sorry if I didn’t understand correctly, but if I put this under and Eotech 512 would it make it lower 1/3 cowhitness like the newer models? If not what riser do you think would be best or have you seen used for those absolute optics?

  3. Thanks for the tables. I was wondering if you had an idea of the hold over for the donut at about 7-10yards. I know without the riser, the bottom of the donut is point of impact at that range. How much higher do you find yourself holding now?? Just curious, i ordered a set for the EXPS and G33 combo, seemed to make sense with the magnifier sitting center not to the side haha thanks for the video!

  4. What do you think about the Scalarworks 1.93 mount? Is it similar in height as the Unity Riser/ Mount? Are they good for short guys, 5’6” 5’7” neighborhood lol.
