  1. I have a 20” 223 Wylde topped with a vortex 4-12 scope. Can hunt smaller game with a 62-67 grain 223 round. Or keep the redcoats uncomfortable at a distance with some 55 grain 5.56 rounds.

  2. I ran several hundred 5.56s through my 183-series Ruger Mini-14 GB. The gas block enclosure eventually developed a partial crack, but no significant barrel erosion or any other damage that I could find.

My first AR build was with a 20-inch .223 Wylde barrel. It does not seem to be any less accurate than my friends' "store-bought" 5.56s. I liked it so much that my second AR build, a pistol with a 10-inch barrel, was also a .223 Wylde.

  3. Awesome video as always guys, love the channel!!
I’m newbie when it comes to rifles as I just bought my first rifle a month ago in the AR platform, it’s a ZRO Delta “Range Ready” chambered in the .223 Wylde and I absolutely love it!!! Currently running the US optics ts-8x atop and added a Arisaka offset with the SRO red dot and at the moment it’s awesome, not to mention the cool look factor! I’m taking in everything as far as info to continue to learn about all this. So my question is, I’ve started putting 5.56 62-grain through it so far as I’ve only ran about 60 rounds through it. Most of my ammo now is 5.56, but I do have some .223 which mostly defensive but some varmint ammo. Any problems you can think of if I go back and forth between the two? I may just stick to the 5.56 for range but if I wanted and came across .223 when available any long term issues?
Again I really love the channel as it’s my go to for any information about firearms as of lately.

  4. When it comes to failures you should do something on people using reloads. I had to give medical attention yesterday to a guy who blew his bolt action up took a chunck out of his forehead and check. Had he not had a scope he might of lost an eye judging the trajectory of the stock splinters and his wounds.
