I'm gonna wager a bet and say you probably have the buffer tube turned in one thread to many if not adequate length to accommodate the oal of the BCG when in fully rearward position and manually engaging BHO
I have the same lower and went with the Kaw Valley 10oz buffer and extra power spring, lrbho works with glock 33 rnd mag although I havent tried others yet. This combo works well for me. Also running sb a3 brace which came with what I think is a standard mil spec carbine tube.
Idk if you ever figured out the issue with your bolt catch. (A little behind the times finding this video) I did have the same issue with my first AR build. As it turned out, while tightening down the buffer tube, I was under the impression that the retainer for the tube had to be fully seated in the slot. It started to stovepipe on me because the bcg travel wasn't long enough. After racking my brain for a couple days, I backed the buffer tube off a full turn and never had another issue with the stovepipes or the bcg locking back. I'm sure after 2 years you've either figured it out or no longer have the weapon but maybe this suggestion will help you or someone in the future with the same issue.
I used the quarters and an H3 buffer before, and it ran pretty good. Now Iβm using the spikes T-3 with the spikes spacer and it works perfect. Locks back every time, when using new, orange follower Glock 33rd mags. Itβs very picky with the mags. Some Glock 33rd mags need the Wolf extra power springs.
I know I'm late to the party, but I built one with the same Spikes spacer at the end of my spring and had the same problem. I backed my buffer tube off 1 rotation, which gave me enough clearance for it to lock back. If you don't have it solved already, I hope this helps.
yea for that problem I had the same problem. dedicated bolt carrier for 9mm. my gun smith told me no not gonna work. that uppers not made for a 9mm. what he did was use carrier but put a 9mm bolt assembly and poof it worker perfect. even with it suppressed.
I agree … trim the rubber or whatever it is made of off the βtipβ of the buffer … saw that on another YouTube video …. I would copy and paste the link, but forget which one of many I watch from time to time. Good Luck π

Did I miss the part list? I'm looking for the parts list. π§βπ¦―
Is the trigger just a regular mil spec ar15 trigger?
I'm having a problem with uppers on my spikes 9mm lower I was gunna use a foxtrot mike. I see you used all spikes tactical gear and it fits.
Iβm looking at one of these. Whatβs a fair price for Spikes Tactical Gen II Upper/Lower 9mm Luger Billet Receiver Set ?

Where can I get muzzle from
Where have you been dude, I miss watching πππππ
I used 3 quarterβs (75 cents) for my spacer
I dropped a few quarters down the buffer tube, then put the spring back in, Works perfect

Are you using gen 4 or newer magazines? That could be the cause.

Use the correct 9mm upper
7 oz. Buffer with mil spec spring. And the quarters do work!
Why did you use a standard AR15 upper instead of a 9mm upper?
Nice build. Really like that setup. May have to build one myself.
Trim the back of the buffer with a piece of sandpaper about 1/16 of an inch on the neoprene bumper.
Man, that micro flash can looks really nice. Well done!
Change the buffer to a KAK heavy buffer.
Buy a Foxtrot Mike upper and lower. Problem solved. π

could you type out a parts list on here? Thanks!
Cut the end of your buffer rubber
Very cool rifle
It would be cool if you left a link or something for the parts lol
Just built PCC using same lower and itβs flawless
Parts list??
Shave the buffer tip. Extra buffer tips are available for less than a dollar.
Mine will 100% not run anything but fmj
Did you got to fix the problem?
I use a standard spring, heavy buffer and 4 quarters as a spacer. Works perfect
1.75 in quarters works great for me
High priced parts that donβt work
I'm using a true 9mm upper with heavy spring and a 7oz. 9mm buffer

Change your upper receiver to a 9mm rather than a 556 receiver…Respectfully
will a standard ar15 LPK work with a spikes 9mm lower?
Cut your spacer 1/16"? Seems simple enough..
Make your own spacer
I loves me some spikes tactical!
Is there any andvantage or disadvantage using or Glock or Colt – fed dedicated lower? π€
Where is the parts list

is the magazine tight to the magwell?
Weaker spring with spacer and 10 oz buffer. Boom
Bolt hold open is supported by your upper…not your lower
You need to check and see if your upper supports it
I used 7 quarters in the buffer tube before I put in the carbine spring and heavy pistol buffer. No failures to lock back at all.
Question – why did you choose the 556 upper vs the 9mm upper, also available by Spikes?
