Paul Levy, captain of the Brownells new products crew, shows us the aptly named DeathGrip Tripod from Bog Gear. Once the DeathGrip’s adjustable jaws grab your precision rifle’s stock, it isn’t going anywhere. The head assembly has 25-deg. front/rear tilt and 360-deg. swivel. And the jaws’ non-slip, rubberized padding won’t scratch that stock. The legs snap open to three pre-set hard stops, and there’s plenty of length extension. Easily switch between rubber feet and steel spikes without removing a single part from the ‘pod. Caldwell’s E-Max™ Pro noise-cancelling electronic hearing protectors have features you don’t normally see on budget electronic muffs, including dual microphones, digital volume controls, and the choice of Youth and Adult sizes. Hefty 23 dB noise reduction, too. There’s even a 3.5mm stereo input jack, so you can jam “Danger Zone” while you bust water-filled milk jugs on the Back 40! Wheeler’s 1-Pc Bolt Action Scope Mount brings the ease and convenience of a one-piece AR-15 flattop mount to your Remington 700 or Savage 10 / 110 bolt gun. It attaches to your rifle’s factory drilled-and-tapped scope mounting holes, no Picatinny base or separate rings needed. It’s a “one and done” scope mounting solution! Available with 1″, 30mm and 34mm rings in various heights. Even comes with a handy detachable bubble level.

  1. Before you buy consider these points! One: The panning collar has 4 speed bumps on it. N-S-E-W So in your panning you will have to deal with this. Why this even exists is beyond me. Cameras don't need it, I have never needed this for tracking at targets. Two: The Grip is made of plastic and pot metal. It doesn't inspire confidence when you put a $3k plus rig in it's care. One more point I had to tape the red collapse buttons to add confidence. In my book that's 3 strikes! Better luck with yours!

  2. Really like the tri pod. And wheeler ear pro's good too. I am not sold on plugging in distractions to kids ear pro's while shooting, but for all ear pro's made there should be a dedicated short range receiver frequency that an instructor or parent can use without speaking load over other shooters at a range. And yes I know that many have omni directional mics and the shooter can hear whats being said, however in some cases other noises are just as much and the person speacking has to be too close or talk up tb be clear. Not allways but on occasions, hand if there is a hearing imparment involved it makes it even harder. Just a thought.

  3. Seems interesting…especially considering the pricepoint…… I would like to see a review actually using a longrange rifle with optics… so we can see how well this setup can handle some weight.

  4. Everything Wheeler makes is 100% garbage, dont buy it, but alas, I must admit, I really like Brownells, actually I love brownells and Paul Levy is good person so I still thumbed this UP lol.

  5. Speaking of one-piece scope mounts.

May I request that Brownells Inc. consider stocking items from 'DNZ Products'? Please and Thank You.

Their line of "Reaper" mounts are top notch. Plus they make products for fishing, boating, archery and so on. They'd be a perfect inclusion to the Brownells Inc. inventory.

Keep up the good work my friends.

    EDITED for grammar.
