  1. Just to clarify, PSA does not make these guns. PSA became the sister company of leadstar arms not to long ago, mainly for marketing purposes, but all machining is done in differing factories. Leadstar is a big name in the competition market and the grunt was their first "duty" type rifle. These guns are very light compared to other offerings. This information is coming directly from Leadstar as I asked them specifically if PSA makes their grunt series. Leadstars email response on if PSA manufacturers their firearms- "PSA is our sister company and we do our own machining. PSA and Leadstar are machined in different facility."

  2. I'm with you on compensators for AR-15's. I had one on a 16" AR-15 and removed it after my first trip to the range with the compensator on it. It's sitting in a box somewhere and I doubt I'll find a use for it.

  3. Regarding loading to 30 vs 29, I totally agree. I said the same thing in my MDRX first thoughts video on my channel. It's not called a 28 or 29 round magazine. It's marketed, sold, and used as a 30 round magazine. If a gun won't run properly with a fully loaded mag, it's either the gun's fault or user error.

  4. If you want to see the effects of a muzzle brake blast, watch closely the final firing scenes when he is laying down on the tarp. If you are lying in the bushes firing at coyotes, well…..

  5. Looks OK. I think the price should be a bit lower for what you're getting. Then again, in this current time, the dollar just doesn't get what it used to. So maybe this is the new normal.
