In this video we get rid of an Anderson barrel that has had mediocre performance, and swap it out for an AR-Stoner barrel with a .223 Wylde chamber. First groups will come in the next video.

Great video! This helped me so much thank you!
Thought I'd jump in here and say, you are all correct. I should have purchased a torque wrench and an appropriately-sized wrench for the barrel nut. But here's something I'll probably put at the beginning of most videos: This is not a how-to channel. With a few exceptions, I'm not showing how to do something, but rather chronicling how I did it. For better or worse. This started out as sort of a video journal on my outdoor, firearm, and reloading activities, and that's still what it is, for the most part.
Not a fan of teaching folks that it’s ok to use the wrong tools. Especially on the barrel nut! I doubt that you got to the proper torque with a set of channel locks.
Those mags make me so sad. 😔 I’m sorry if you don’t have that mag by choice. Our rights are being infringed upon.
You really should get the proper tools. It should be torqued to spec.
Using avise grips to remove/install a barrel nut is like installing primers with a hammer. 🙂 For just a few dollars you can save a lot of excuses…..
I've never had to replace the barrel on the two AR's I have as they shot just fine so your video shows how easy it is. Thanks!
I showed out of curiosity and there is something I think I should say.
Some say that the use of anti-seize when building an AR might be an unnecessary risk. The risk comes in that the anti-seize might promote galvanic corrosion (Some say it is primarily anti-seize with graphite in it).
Mil-Speck says to use Aeroshell 33MS on the barrel threads and barrel & receiver mating surface (Molybdenum Disulfide Grease is a good substitute and I think you can find it in the same place you got the anti-seize).
