I like this sport and the sig tread. They both hit straight and don’t break the bank. Smith did a good job with this 308 which is proof you don’t need to spend above 14 hundred bucks for good 308 semi automatic. Also it should let everyone know the price gouging other manufacturers are up to like Daniel defense & LWRC who produce the same rifle on the Ar10 format.

What does "Sport" mean. I compared the "Sport" to the non-sport version on their website and there were no differences there other than the $500.00 greater price for the non-sport version. I wrote to S&W and asked about this but so far they haven't answered me.
Couldn't really appreciate the beautiful sound of the .308 for some reason…
The M&P10 Sport is such a great rifle! And does everything that the guns twice its price can do. I bet I can shoot as well as a SCAR, Daniel Defense or Sig. And thats with cheap Federal 180gr Powershok!

Finally took mine to the rifle range ($125 annual membership) An hour one way and my m&p 10 sport shot 308 Win great. 7.62 NATO it choked on every round. It went back to the gun store and shipping back to S&W.

This is why you are one of my favorites. You have reported on great items the common man can relate to. This firearm will run with the best of them. All the others want to show us is the uber expensive stuff that really does not do that much more or is ridiculously overpriced.

A 1000$ and you get a crappy raised gas block? So going to a free float rail your now changing out the gas block, that's crap. And for the love of God why does the m4 stock have to be so standard on every AR. For a 1000$ I can't get a mildy upgrade stock? Lol
I bought the regular m&p 10 for 999$ years ago… Did they go up in price?? Mine is ambi also…
