OPMOD EXPS 3 Holographic Red Dot Sight

TOO Fucking expensive for a range use sight that most wont be able to justify using in real life.

For that price you can outfit your militia with:

-RTS III carrier/armor
-nightfox NVD
-digital Baofeng
-mic/earpro system
-condor battle belt
-IFAK
-weapon light.

If you havent already purchased an eotech or aimpoint. Think hard about your future finances, because after you do, you won't buy cheap dots anymore

I have one set of this one and a G33 magnifier for several years. For the past two years the EOtech itself has been delaminating its glass, making it very hard to shoot with. It started on the bottom corners but it is getting worse. Some AR online foruns report the same issue. Pretty lame for a 1.100 USD set.

Does anyone know if the mounting point of a devil dog concepts hard charger will fit under the battery compartment of an eotech exps?

Too much money for battery life. Low tech if it doesn't have a shake awake or no solar panel to assist with battery power

WAY too expensive. Why not go with the Primary Arms SLX prism (less than half the price) and get high quality, extreme durability, and twice the battery life? Plus…. the primary has an etched lens so it still works when the battery dies. Or…… pick from the millions of red dots that are way more budget friendly. I had an Eotech on my duty rifle for years and never understood the fascination. It was fine, but not worth the cost in my opinion. I guess when the tax payer is footing the bill, cost is less of a factor in the opinions of many.

You lost me on the price. The only way it can be justified is if everything is made in USA, but still a lot of money for a guy not in a war zone.

I still like my old 512, but my EXPS2 with magnifier is awesome. We talk about 1000 hour battery life like it’s horrible. It really isn’t. Not for average home defense use or training courses. I can live with it.

I bought two of the cheap 552 from eBay and besides the dark lens which I expect from an eBay optic. I personally think it's a great optic for my anderson budget builds.

i think its a great quality product ….but just for a price like that I have bought a used car for that price that gets me around before yes a full entire car….and so I think for that price now a days it should now come standard with shake awake reflex type system….but it does look great and for sure will serve well for anyone.

I am a Sig Romeo 5 type of guy. Don't need a sight that cost more than the gun.

The clear glass, no reflection, and a crisp reticle are hard to beat. Something that lot of competitors can’t seem to get right even in 2021.

Aside from the battery life, one other drawback to these holosights is that it doesn’t fair well with astigmatism. Unfortunately I have it, so I settled with the XPS 2-1 which doesn’t seem to affect my eyes as much.

I've got an EOTech from ~2004. It's beat to hell, and likely spent some time overseas, but it still works great

I’ve been drooling over Eotechs for a while, almost picked up a 512 but always talk myself out of it because I can literally pick up a really nice brand new firearm for the same amount of cash.
