I hear talk all the time about how Anderson lowers are cheap and not any good but I don’t really see any evidence of that. This video addresses that topic and makes some comparisons to other brands.

  1. Dang, I was all set to get an Anderson stripped lower at my LGS which would save me costs on FFL and shipping fees, now you sold me on the Aero Precision because of the set screw.

  2. i've got an anderson and haven't had a problem with it, but i've also got a windham and haven't had issues either, but i buy aero M4 and M5 lowers because i live near tacoma, WA where Aero is located and like supporting local

  3. I got a spikes. All the shops that had anderson lowers were price gouging at the time and one shop just happened to have a few spikes in stock for a decent price. I'd rather spend more on something priced appropriate rather than over pay for something that cost less.

  4. I guarantee any builder out there, I can buy the most inexpensive upper and lower and will make that combo shoot just as good as one that coast 3 or 4 times what I paid, it is all in the barrel, the trigger, and the shooter when it comes to an AR!

  5. I've build ARs with Aero, Anderson, Ruger and TN Arms lowers. If look at the Forge roll mark you'd see that there are far less forges than manufacturers.

  6. My first lower build was an Anderson, $50. Slapped a PSA upper on it with some random BCG. Zero problems.
Sold the stripped lower back in 2015. Still see those Ponies for $50.
Probably pick one up. I'll put it next to my Hi-Point, that has zero problems.

  7. I work at a training facility and I built a lower out of an Anderson for a simunition rifle. And that gun has had thousands of rounds put through it. Not to mention all the abuse that lower has taken. I haven’t had any problems whatsoever from it other than having to put anti walking pins in it.

  8. Aero M4E1 RECEIVER SET and be done with it .
You kinda have to admire PSA or Anderson . They are literally cranking out freedom at awesome prices . If it wasn't for Anderson or PSA . There wouldn't be as many ARs in the USA . Anderson and PSA have also caused prices to go down.

  9. Just ordered an Anderson from Buds for 60 bucks today. Glad to find anything in stock and for 60 bucks these days I should have bought several. Also ordered a trigger and hardware set that cost over twice as much but I still got to tell the Wifey that it was only 60 bucks to start an AR-15 build.

  10. I've guage checked and assembled three Anderson lowers and found out a few things…
    1) all three lowers were totally in spec towards the leaner side.
    2) as long as you used QUALITY built takedown and pivot pins, springs, bolt catch, mag release latches, fire control groups and in spec FCG's w/anti-rotation pins, buffer tube, aftermarket flat wire buffer spring and appropriate weight buffer an Anderson will out last you and your grand kids under semiautomatic use.
    3) Anderson lowers and upper may not be exactly what you want. But it is EXACTLY 💯% what you NEED to build a low cost, HIGH quality built to last, pass it down to your kids type of rifle you can be proud to own.
    4) they hands down WORK and work extremely well. With alacrity!

  11. I’ve had 6 Anderson lowers, here is my experience:

    -4 were flawless

-1 had an undersized trigger pin hole. A bit of hammering and self clearance occurred

-one had about 10% missing from the front right lug that holds the front takedown pin in, with some chatter marks. Caused no issues after 8k rounds

  12. I've always swore by Poverty pony lowers. Never had a problem til yesterday when I tried to install a Rare Breed Trigger. The machined cavity is off by a few mils making it impossible to install until I took a dremel to it.

  13. I jus ordered an Anderson “ghost” (no logo engraved) complete lower to build a 6.5 grendel on. Hope it is as good as you are speaking. I’m really looking forward to my new hog gun.
