Decently bright light◔◔>share4.photo/Streamlight?Ы nice for inspections, but not too bright that it becomes blinding. It's become a tad popular around the place with other coworkers. Takes a decent drop without any scuffing/damage, with a decent battery life, given the size. A decent hit at the aircraft maintenance shop.
hey people this light he is talking about was the older model that did not have the ten tap feature. his review is on the 180 lumen light not the 260 lumen one
You are mistaken. The flashlight actually does have a ten-tap programmable feature. You have to click the momentary on ten times for it to change. I, as an example, have it programmed for low, high, and removed strobe.
The ProTac family of lights was designed to meet the needs of both our trades professionals and law enforcement customers. Even though this light is small in size, you still get a lot of bright light from the C4® LED.
Features Ten-Tap® Programming – Choose from three user selectable programs: 1.) high/strobe/low (factory default) 2.) high only 3.) low/high C4® LED illumination output and run times: HIGH – 260 lumens; 5,600 candela peak beam intensity; runs 3 hours LOW – 13 lumens; 300 candela peak beam intensity; runs 50 hours STROBE – runs 6 hours Includes two 3V CR123A lithium batteries and nylon holster Solid State power regulation provides maximum light output throughout battery life Rubber push-button tail switch Durable, anodized aluminum construction with impact-resistant tempered glass lens IPX7 waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes; 2 meter impact resistance tested Unbreakable pocket clip Anti-roll head 4.77” (12.12 cm); 2.8 oz (79 grams) RoHS compliant
I have this flash light for basically non tactical use, I just really needed a good light for work. I have used this light multiple times every day for two years, it is extremely durable and works every time I use it. Battery life can be an issue after constant use but it always works. I've even taken it to the point of being molten hot after using it for hours. This light is unstoppable.
for actual "tactical" flashlight use "momentary on high, pause, momentary on high" is the ideal setting and a very sensible interface. light-move-light-move-(assess threat). no clicking through all the modes to reach the one you've started with aso
will get this additional to my protac 2aaa (and tons of other light 😉 ), which has too low of an output for emergency defensive use/disorienting
