I got a replacement TLR7 from Streamlight and had to send my old one back. I will be testing the replacement, but I am a bit skeptical about how it will perform.

Streamlight most probably thought, that you turn it anyways to the battery safe position and remember to turn it back on, when the burgler stands in your room.
But what annoys me even more is, that switch is cancer in its purest form, they fixed it recently with the TLR7A but the new Switch isn't compatible with the TLR7 allthough the front part is the same.
Bump in the night…..don’t think I’ll need 100rd to rotate check the light.
In a word OLIGHT great lights.
Streamlight: okay dude
If I had an intruder and needed that light I am not sure I'd want to have to tighten it up in an emergency. But that's just me.
Should've told them to send you the TLR 7-A
I’d say putting 100 rounds thought it keeping the light on isn’t to bad.
