Streamlight Microstream Single AAA Flashlight Review

The Streamlight Microstream single AAA powered flashlight may be the most effective device you can carry to illuminate small areas in a hurry. It is all about it’s “momentary on” tail switch, and one output mode that make this a worthy light.

Features I like about this flashlight:
A very purposeful design.
Tail Switch Design.
Momentary On.
Matte Black Finish that Lasts, Type II.
Aluminum Body.
Perfect Size for Easy Handling.
Hat/Belt Clip. Great Feature.
45 Lumens are plenty for a small AAA EDC light.
Runs on a single AAA battery.
Soft, wide beam.
Neck/Carry Adjustable Lanyard.
Well Made.
Weighs One Ounce with the battery.

Features that could be added or improved on:
Include a Lithium based battery versus the included alkaline one.
A more neutral color temperature would be welcome.
A higher water resistance rating. In a “sea” of IPX8 lights, this one is IPX4.

Overall, I recommend this light based on many years of use. I never knew about all the fancy AAAs variants out there. I am excited about those, but I tend to grab the Microstream first when I want to take a “look” at something around the house. My old standby that I plan to keep using until it stops.
