  1. I bought the olight pl-2 valkyrie and the TLR-1 HL stream light the 1000 lumens. I paid for both of them and they run about the same time I got about 5 and half hours out of both of them I put new Energizer 123 lithium batteries in them both of them trump them on and let them set and run until they was dead the olight had a better spot and put out more light at the end of the battery life they do get dimmer of course. but the olight was easier to see with after about 4 hours

  2. Did the pl pro change since you've made this video? I bought it black Friday of 2020 and wasn't aware the high setting is turbo for only 90 seconds, I've run it on high for 5 min in my dark yard to test it and it doesnt dim down

  3. I bought a pl-pro Valkyrie. Received it 20 hours before seeing this video. Maybe I chose wrong… it’s on a 9mm, not too much recoil involved. Slightly disappointed with the battery life. Time will tell how it holds up overall.

  4. Thanks for the video I have and was going to buy another gun light for my new stay at home gum . I keep looking at o light. But I think I stick with the trl1 . My opinion is that plight still has a bit to go . Only because they die to fast .

  5. it's a really well done video to compare those 2, but as you mentioned the Battery part, it's not a "fair" comparison.
You compare an rechargeable version vs a battery version, next time u should try the older "olight pl-2 valkyrie" it has batteries too !
Just to make it "more" fair. πŸ˜‰
The main reason why I prefer the Streamlight more, is the way to use the switch mode.
I dont like this click inside from the ohlight, i prefer the up and done from the streamlight more!

  6. Realistically..the VERY large majority of your viewers are not going to battle. Run the OLight on low which is jus about equivalent to the Streamlight without going on turbo..how long is that runtime? I don't think anyone runs there pistol light more than 10 minutes which would be an eternity in a say.. home invasion situation. The OLight is a far better deal over all. If you get to where you need a recharge or battery change.. you have far bigger problems in the real world than your light. Most of us are not Rambo tracking a killer down a three mile tunnel with our pistol light on turbo.. but I can see that if you are then Streamlight may be the better option..great vid! Look forward to your upcoming vids..they make you think..and that's a good thing!

  7. TLR-1 HL is actually 800 lumens. I've seen it advertised on Streamlight's website as 1000, but I just bought a new one and it says 800 on the box. Sometime around April this year Streamlight will be releasing the TLR-9 which will be 1000 lumens.
I have 2 TLR-1 HL's, one on my duty gun and the other on my patrol rifle with the pressure switch.

  8. voice to text messed my post up. I own the regular PL2 valkyrie I find the construction of it to be tugged enough for "combat" often on sale it can be had sun 100$ the pro is rechargable isnt it? I for get what i like about thgat is it can be recharged at any usb port my valkrie mini can so can my Warrior X another Olight product. Im not saying streamlight is bad light but you pay a bit for the name.
