I’ve been kicking the idea of a magnified optic around for a while now and debated on a variable scope or adding a 3x magnifier to my Eotech 512 holographic sight.
After getting a good deal on the Vortex VMX-3T, I thought I’d give it a try.
I made this longish video where I unboxed it and had it installed within 15 minutes, some editing for the really boring stuff.
Although this video is pretty boring to begin with.

I've been contemplating this or an eotech g33 magnifier. How do you like your vmx 3t?
Great video. By chance I'm planning on doing a similar setup for my DD M4. I inherited the rifle with an EOTech XPS2 attached to it. Added some Magpul BUIS and I'm thinking about getting into hunting. I couldn't justify getting rid of the holo, so adding a magnifier seemed like the next best choice. Took one look at the G33's price tag and noped right the hell out on that one. The Vortex seems like a really great affordable alternative for anyone who isn't jumping out of planes and kicking in doors on a daily basis.
