LPVO for astigmatism?.. I bought an EOTECH XPS to be disappointed That it looks super blurry with my astigmatism.. I also have a sig Romeo red dot which is a Little better… would like something good for home defense with better field of view/bigger window and that won’t be an issue with my vision… was leaning towards a prism scope but now thinking an LPVO May be faster/better.

So i have a question, im buying my first ar 15 and i want something to plink around at the range but also some long range like 100yrds maybe but also home defense. Im really lost on this. Now that you're in Nevada, you can speak more slowly and breath more often. Much less fatiguing on your audience too.
Is a red dot activated automatically, or do you have to take that extra second in a home defense situation, to click it on?

Looking down the barrel at a 'bead' knowing that number one buckshot is going where you line that bead up? .. is all I need for home defense.
But I love my other guns and have red dots on a couple of them.

Have a reflex/red dot on my AR with a light and laser. But Will default to one of my handguns for most home defense situations or my shotgun which I keep ready with 00buck 9 pellit.
