  1. Hi Dave, I found a good price on a 14.5" barrel from B. Kings Firearms. It is configured for a mid-length gas system, do you think that will work good with a 14.5" barrel. Also, do you know anything about this company B. King's Firearms. Thank you for your time and help.
    Have a Blessed Day

  2. I have spare parts for spare parts. Just old habits better to have to many than not one. I do this for all my firearms springs pins trigger assembly screws I keep extras around. Have different containers for each. I can help out others that may need something also.

  3. In todays AR filled world itā€™s hard to justify not simply having a spare lower parts kit and spare BCG. $40-50 bucks for a standard mil spec lower kit (without grip and buffer assembly), and basic BCG for about $69 bucks. Looking at just over $100 dollars for almost every extra part that could reasonably break. In my range bag I have exactly that, plus an extra buffer spring, mags, lube/tools/cleaning exc.

You will then need to buy another spare parts set when you turn your current spares into another rifle, which of course, needs spare parts.

    Good vid. Thanks!

  4. in my short five years of owning an ar15 (high quality brand) i have experienced a couple malfunctions in the field. One is a broken bolt catch that snapped in two.the other is my buffer tube castle nut backing out.(wasn't staked} causing both springs related to the castle nut(buffer tube spring that holds the detent and the takedown spring and detent to pop out and be lost in the field. I will be prepared from now on! Dont think it wont happen to you because it may. lol

  5. As a enthusiast I constantly order "oops" kits, them springs suck!
I don't build enough or shoot enough to warrant getting it but having the armorer's kit would be nice!

  6. Do you have any concerns on swapping out a bolt on an AR that has been in service with a new bolt. Is head spacing any concern? Great video on overlooked items that ever one who owns an AR should have.

  7. I hesitated on watching this video because it just didn't seem that interesting to me, but I must say, I had no idea about the trigger and hammer pins. I've installed a couple Geissele and ALG triggers as well as one from a DPMS kit and I think they've all came with pins that had a groove in the middle and at least one on the end. I by no means consider myself an expert, but I've just never came across that before. I have wondered a time or two about it and I'm sure it's listed obscurely somewhere in the instructions for these products. Anyways, thanks for the video, I always enjoy learning new stuff.

  8. Thank you very much. I was looking for spare parts for the last few days to add to my brownells order. Keep up the good work.

Just a note. I would prefer to keep a complete bolt as a spare. But in my country a bolt is considered a weapon related item. So it can not be shipped and has to be added to my license as an additional item. It also has to be modified to fit my gun. One lug of the bolt has to be milled of because there is a metal pin in my barrel extension so that my gun does not accept a "military" bolt. And the i have to drive 5 hours to pick up the bolt because weapon related items can not be shipped to private persons.
So keeping all the other parts is easier.
