Just how accurate is the CMMG 22LR adapter for your AR15?? I set back at 35 yards to show expected accuracy from an adapter that feeds 22LR into your AR15 barrel.

  1. I bought that conversion kit, and, I'm due to get it 2morrow, Feb. 15th, 2021. I'm using in the one & only AR-15, I have, which is a 7 1/2'' barrel pistol. I think it has a 1:7 or 1:8 twist. I'm only going be shooting it at 25 yards, because that's the max distance I can shoot on the property. And, all I've ever used in any .22 caliber rifle, pistol, or revolver is, CCI Mini-Mags, copper plated, 40gr. I'll never use anything but CCI ammo, to shoot .22's. As long as I can hit a target about 12'' in diameter at 25 yards, I'm very happy.

  2. I got two of these for both my AR's. My wife loves it because the rifle has zero kick, however, after shooting your 22LR rounds, I recommend shooting a few 556 rounds to clean out your rifle because the 22LR rounds really dirty up your rifle.

  3. The accuracy is dependent on the barrel and the ammo, not the adapter. .22LR is bad for accuracy in the first place. There is only 1.5 grains of powder in the case, even a variation of .01 grains will affect the velocity of a 40 grain bullet. No matter what brand of ammo, you can never get 10 identical sounding shots in a row. Take off your hearing protection and listen to the gunshots, they will sound slightly different.
Dime size group at 35 yards is 1.876 MOA.

  4. I wanted one of these for years. Several years back, Bass Pro had them in stock so I drove there to get one and they had one on the shelf. I think it was around $175-$200. I took it to the cashier and noticed the bcg was missing from the package, the 2 or 3 mags were in there but the bcg had been stolen.
I finally ordered one online last year. I wish I had gotten one years ago, I could’ve saved thousands by shooting .22 long rifle out of my ar’s while plinking instead of .223 or 5.56. I have no accuracy issues either.

  5. whats your barrel length and twist? out of my 18" 223 wylde 1/8 twist can barely keep it on paper at 50 with almost every grain weight. Im assuming the extra velocity from the longer combined with the faster twist, Im just spinning the 22lr too fast. Im curious of how it would do out of 7.5 upper since the velocity would make the spin a little slower…

  6. Cci standard is an exelent round, most accurate out of all my 22's and great suppressed. Also you would think the higher velocity would be better with the lower twist in a 5.56 barrel at about half the rate as 22lr barrells. Great vid!

  7. Great vid bro, I've been on the fence about these, but not anymore due to your vid. As others have said in the comments, maybe you could make another vid with the AGUILA 60 gr rds, an let us see some real world testing with those, thx for the vid.

  8. Hey I may have missed it but what is ur rifle? a Spike's Upper and Lower? Barrel? also if you had to guess, what shot was the flier in every group? 1st shot, 2nd, or what? Im wondering if its ur 1st shot before tou get on target maybe

  9. Too bad there is no .22 lr ammo available to shoot. When I was a kid back in the 1960's you
could buy a box of 22 ammo at the local hardware store anytime. Conversion kits in .22 lr are a great idea, I hope someday there will be ammo available for them…..

  10. I use the 60gr Aguila SSS (Sniper SubSonic) in mine, and they perform very well. And they are extremely quiet, even without a suppressor, when I use my 24’ barrel.

  11. I was trying one of these in my 10.5" PSA pistol last weekend. Accuracy was fine for practice but the POI was way off. When things calm down I'm going to order another PSA kit for a dedicated .22lr.

I also tried out the Boonie Packer M&P15-22 mag adapter. That thing is pretty cool.
