CMMG Banshee MK10 10mm Power!

So what's better- shooting pistol rounds faster than normal or shooting rifle rounds slower than normal? That is the question to which I seek an answer before buying my first AR pistol.

Does Banshee sell builders kits for this gun?…sell individual parts?…that will allow you to build your own Banshee 10mm?

Any left handed shooters who own a Banshee out there? How do you like it?

My 10mm Banshee came in last Thursday 12/10/2020. EXPENSIVE JUNK, it's going back this week, will be trying to get a refund.

Still would way rather have one in caliber 450 smc or 45smc,its the 45 thats a solid 10mm killer.250 grains at 1350 fps.

Which would you select as 'the best' as between the 10mm, 45ACP & 40 S&W Banshee's, considering ammo cost & availability, felt recoil and ballistic effectiveness?

Just wish they would make it in a design that allowed it to fire with a folded stock… That'd be the icing on the cake.

Now 10mm is 10 bucks cheaper then 9mm!!! Crazy how much the world changes in half a year. Buying this beautiful gun very soon. Loved my Glock 40 mos and now just got a ruger sr1911 and love 10mm way more then 9mm

Why does this gun have only an 8 inch barrel? Is it available with a 16 inch barrel and a regular shoulder stock?

This was my 1st PCC. I'm a 10mm fanboy, sold all my 45 for 10mm & sold my SA TRP 6" 10mm to finance this. I have 1K rnds through her now, everyone who shoots her can't believe how soft & accurate she is. Handguard clamp bolts vibrated out but a quick call to CMMG had new ones at my door 1 wk later.

I don't feel any difference in kickback between 9mm or 10mm. First I thought its weak ammo, but after trying quite a few "so called" hot rounds I'm still at square one. Seems like g19 kicks back harsher with 147 self defense rounds than g20 with 180 self defense rounds. Could it be because of the weight difference between g19 and g20?

Very nice gun

In handgun ammo and all ammo the faster the round the faster it drops cause that's the way gravity works. You may not think so but it's an allusion. 9mm is right for submachine gun ammo .

I own the CMMG Banshee 10mm MK10 and the Tactical Edge RD-10 10mm pistol. 5 trips to the firing range and 500 rounds later, here are the observations (been using Sellier & Bennott and SigSauer 180 grain FMJ):
-The CMMG radial blowback system dramatically decreases the recoil and is very evident when compared to the RD-10. RD-10 recoil is so prominent that after several hundred rounds, I had to wear my tactical glove to reduce numbness that was developing in my index finger
-The CMMG MK10 has fired over 500 rounds with no malfunctions and no cleaning to date. The LRBHO on the MK10 has not malfunctioned to date.
-The RD-10's LRBHO started malfunctioning within the first 2 magazines. Was never able to get the LRBHO to work reliably so I removed the mechanism.
-Within the first 50 rounds, the RD-10 starting severing the empty casings in half, causing additional malfunctions when half of the casings were not extracted from the breach. My gunsmith tested heavier buffers until we found one that stopped the severing of the empty casings ($75 buffer & $125 of labor).
-About 100 rounds into the RD-10, the bolt carrier assembly failed (extractor stripped). Replaced it with a KAK Industries 40-S&W-10-MM-BCG ($145.00 later)
-RD-10 now fires reliably with the KAK bolt carrier assembly and heavier buffer. All in for the RD-10 (purchase price/tax, shipping and replacement parts), over $2,150.00
-All in with the CMMG Banshee MK10: $1,645.00 with taxes, local pickup at RifleGear.
–CMMG MK10 came with one 30 round mag, Glock compatible. RD-10 came with two 15 round Glock mags.

Other observation: RD-10 is noticeably heavier with the balance point noticeably forward of the mag well. RD10 leverages side charging handle while the MK10 uses classic AR style charging handle. Advantage goes to the CMMG MK10
