Gen 2… Gen 3… I sense an awful lot of hostility about the newer generation being 'better' than the older. I fully expect this video to result in protests, riots and complaints from retirement communities natiowide. Because this video smacks of age-discrimination.
—Gotta' be SOME type of discrimination, right ??
How about more discrimination against AR's that you need to take out a second mortgage on your house, in order to buy? –Hey, overall PSA offers good value for the price. And no… PSA isn't paying me to say that. … … Must be discrimination.
I'm very impressed with my gen 3 .308 PSA 10. it ran flawlessly when I put 100 rounds through it last week. I didn't do any break in and was easily getting 1-1.5 MOA on a very windy day with PMC bronze .308
HOWEVER, I am curious what is the recommended break in for the stainless barrel?
PS I never even adjusted the gas block, but I'm considering loosening it up a bit as I feel it might be slightly over gassed, but I never had a single malfunction
Great review. Appreciate the honesty.
I'm really impressed with PSA from what I have heard. They seem to be on their way to dominating the AR market across all calibers. You're always rolling the dice when it comes to these things. I've had issues with guns twice this cost that required being sent back to the factory.
I have had terrible luck. My brass gets dented, my buffer is shredded, my buffer spring is bent, the rear of my lower receiver has gouges in it from the BCG overtraval, and I have less than 200 rounds through it. Very disappointed.
Hey man, solid review!
Awesome reviews. Just subscribed. Anybody ever tell you that you look like the car review YouTuber Gold Pony?
Great video, always appreciate the honesty! You get that whistle pig at the end of the video?
Touch some quarters at 600 yds lol 😂
Not nice to see that on the bolt, but if after a while ,if there’s no progression,I guess it’s a non issue.
And I call a trigger like that “stagey”
Appreciate your honesty.
I had to put a superlative adjustable gas block in my Live Free Armory 6.5cm as well. It has been 100% reliable with over 700+ rounds shot so far.
I have that barrel on an Aero M5 upper and lower set. Have over 300rnds of hand loads through her no issues. Never better than a .75" group at 100 tho
Great review. Any new vids on red dot magnifiers?
Rather pay a little more and not get frustrated and send back. To many people justify crappy guns for low price. That's my opinion
Dude, I really appreciate the honesty. A good review that includes what they're really like.
Thanks for the honesty.
Good review as always.
Run a gen 3 upper on a Gen 2 lower.
So we can see fit-and-finish and function
Thank you and keep up the good work
I've had one for quite awhile. I've shot 6 rounds through it and still haven't mounted a scope lol
I've built this same rifle pretty much
Only difference is I put on a stainless fluted 20 inch from Bear Creek.Arsenal.
How much $$$ was your build?
My fit on upper and lower has too much Gap
I'm pretty disappointed in that part.I may a Gen 3 with a 22 in barrel.
Great real life video. One of the best
Thanks for the honest review. I only have one PSA firearm, so I can't really say a whole lot, but the one I do have is the AR pistol kit with a PSA lower. It's been a reliable firearm for me and is more accurate than I am. However, I did experience a similar issue with my 20" 5.56 Bear Creek Arsenal. The first 60 or so rounds, it had constant fte, ftf, no bolt locking back. Afterwards the issue went away and since then I have shot well over 600 rounds with no issues other than spending too much money on ammo, lol. I imagine it must have been a break-in thing or something. Now it has become one of my favorite firearms to shoot.
Had same issues you were having…. sent it back and they replaced a spring in the bolt and it was fixed
If you swap out the gas block like you mention will that void the warranty?
Nice video! 🙂
Great review. Keep up the good work👍
