  1. Anyone who might find this comment DON'T BUY THIS SCOPE! I bought one of these scopes, it had a second focal plane fixed reticle with cross hairs and a solid dot in the center. After I zeroed in the reticle at 50 yards, I took it out to 200 yards. At 8x I couldn't miss the target on purpose. I dialed it back to 1x and still hit the 12" steel gong at 200 yards through the rest of the magazine without fail. It was so BORING. I took it off and used iron sights so I could challenge myself. If you're looking for something to cheat with at an affordable price, I guess you might like it.

  2. nice job. good info.
That looks to be the exact same scope as the new FFP version of the $389 Primary Arms standard SFP 1-8x ACSS scope, its just USOs version of it.
Its the same size, weight and those turrets are definetely the exact same.

So now we add USO to the list of optics companies that have a 1-6x and/or 1-8x built in the same factory on the same components along with PA, Vortex, Acme and Atibal and atleast 1 other.
They just have slightly different styling of turret caps and mag adjust rings etc and of course the reticles.

Its built on the new $499 PA FFP 1-8x ACSS scope they just released.
Basically the same as the SFP models but revised for FFP configuration.

Nothing wrong with that, mind you. Im just making an observation.
Im wondering what USO offers for almost twice the price though.
    Perhaps better internal components?
    Or maybe not.
Youve definetely gotta pay for that name.
The USO reticle looks like a half hearted attempt at making a suitable BDC reticle.
I mean, they couldnt atleast TRY to incorporate some type of rangefinder to compete with the PA which is hundreds less? IDK, looks like a half hearted attempt at an affordable scope but with an outclassed reticle and a much steaper price tag with nothing to show for it.

Exactly why i buy PA optics.
I get an excellent optic with great features, the best, most capable reticle in the industry and im not paying hundreds extra just because of the name.

Im all for competitors in this class. But if its not the equal of the class leader in every category, whats the point? Especially if it costs $300 more.
Im just not seeing the need for this one.
I guess its for those that may have epileptic seizures when viewing the ACSS reticle and like to think theyre getting a better product because it has a fancy well known name and costs nearly twice as much.

It would be interesting to see a shootout between all 5 or 6 of these 1-8x scopes built on the same general basis.
Any chance the Daily Shooter can pull a comparo together?
Ill guarantee you a thumbs up!

  3. Despite these being in China, I hope that USO's Lifetime Warranty will still apply. I was highly disappointed with their glass quality on previous scopes (and especially their "Observation"/Spotter scope, truly worthless glass on that one). Hopefully the new owners of USO upped the quality of the glass.

  4. Is it made in Japan? If not how does the clarity compare to some of the Japanese glass out there like the PA platinum, trijicon accupower, and burris xtrII? I'm looking for something of that quality and clarity but lighter in weight.

  5. Looks to me like they are subcontracting from the company that makes primary arms 1-8 and doubling the price for their name. would like to see side by side to see if this is one is actually worth double the price.

  6. I would love to see a comparison on this to the swamp fox, primary arms… etc. Like a best 1-8x (out of what you have reviewed) maybe a point system contest for fun. With categories like price/value, reticle design, brightness, Clarity, durability etc. Just tossing out ideas. Thanks for the great videos!
