  1. The only gun I ever had as a Royal Anglian cadet was a Lee Enfield .303 ! Kicked like a mule .. but I still got the crossed rifles badge using that. I like the old carbines bro ! They are heavy but they shoot straight ! ..It's a bit like the 1990's Volvo's .. 'they're boxy but they''re good!' Cheers bro, Jim

  2. New gun looks great đź‘Ťđź‘Ť. I have heard many issues about colt in the last 10 to 15 years. So many of my friends have drifted away from them because of price and quality issues. But I would take an older one.

  3. It’s sad to see such an iconic company go down. Back in the day I shot a friends Goldcup 45 and his Python 357, such beautiful and precise tools. This is the evolution of gun companies, get new exciting companies giving good product and service or go with old stodgy companies living on their old reputation.

  4. The machinist in me says to look at machining specifications / blue prints on the weapon and grab a micrometer , calipers , inside diameter measuring pins and see what is going on . Measure the OD / outside diameter of the retaining pin and the ID / inside diameter of the hole in receiver . Check the +/- on the print and see if either or both are out of specification …. tolerance  .

  5. A collector and shooter are two different kinds of gun people. A collector buys for the worth and does not see a quality issue but a shooter will buy for quality and they will see the quality before they buy because they use their guns on the daily. Good video and God bless you!!
